I am a cubs fan but give buehrle mad respect for his no hitter. i am anxious to hear michlers negative thoughts about this great accomplishment because i know they are coming since he is a white sock.

There is only one difference between a madman and me. I am not mad.

I watched a replay of the 2nd half of the game last night.  Being a former pitcher I do have to give my props to Buehrle.  A no-hitter is something a pitcher always dreams about.  I pulled a Tommy John/Kerry Wood/Francisco Liriano, and now probably Felix Hernandez and hurt my elbow.  I don't know if I hurt it to the point of surgery needed if I kept on playing, but I know that I can't throw hard for more than maybe 10 minutes before it acts up again.

Congratulations Mark Buehrle.

The fact that he can't throw in the 90's and his average fast ball last night was 87MPH is what impresses me.

And Sosa, what a bum.

Any Cubs fan should really appreciate what Buhrle did last night.  What future hall of famer and twice former Cub can't get a ball above 90 and has kept hitters off balance with change of speeds, change of arm angles and a variety of pitches for the past 20 years?  Yeah, that guy.  Not everybody has God's gift and can throw the ball through a wall.  Guys like Buhrle and Maddox are pitchers.  Its a joy to watch them work- see how they set up hitters-see how they make the 88 mph "heater" look faster than it really is.  How does a guy like Jaimie Moyer or Kenny Rogers still compete?  Those guys know how to pitch.  That was cool.  It also helps to have a should be gold glove third baseman.  Most no no's have a handful of great fielding plays.  Last night was no exception.

added-- go to www.whitesox.com and you can see a video of about 3 1/2 minutes with the last pitch to each of the 27 batters he faced last night.
