i am in baltimore for a few days, then i will be in fort campbell, kentucky for a week.  (no, i haven't enlisted in the 101st airborne.  not that they would have me as a screaming eagle anyway.)  nashville and bowling green are each 60 miles from where i'll be, and i'll have a ton of free time.  it has been probably 12 or more years since i've played in either of these towns, but i remember loving Kereiakes in b.g., and hobson grove was so-so.  in nashville, seven oaks was great and two rivers was good, as i recall.

i'm looking for some advice on where to play, and probably more importantly, where to avoid.  i know a bunch of ya'll play the bg am tourney each year, so any feedback would be appreciated.  hoping to come back to chicago in a couple of weeks with 450 courses under my belt, (currently at 442 and counting...).

thanks, kids.
have the good fun.

dude, definitely play keriakes Spike.  by far the nicest course and park and there is usually some hot females out there to look at.

Keriakes and Hobson Grove were my two favorites in Bowling Green. Ephram White is long and open, with very few trees. Lovers Lane is similar to Lombard, only with more elevation. Basil Griffin is right off the highway and seemed nice. We only played the front nine before it started to rain, but those holes were all very cool. Some elevation, some water, and some tall trees.

Agree - seven oaks is great.

you have not mentioned these two that are closer imo.

cedar hill in nashville region.

Sanders Ferry in Hendersonville, Tenn for some watershots.

In the service we refer to them as the Screaming Chickens!   ;D

Enjoy your trip Spike.

The course in Elizabethtown a little ways north of Bowling Green is fun.  Wear swimming trunks, though.  We were there in January so we skipped a couple of holes.
