I'm sure this is on pdga.org somewhere, but i couldn't find it, so I'm being lazy instead.

Does anyone know when the submission deadline is for rounds to count toward this ratings update?  I'm trying to figure out which tournaments are likely to count in this one.

Typically it's two weeks prior. Hopefully tournaments like the IL States will be submitted in a more timely manner than last year.

The last two IOS events will be in on time.

Thanks guys.

Don't B tiers have to be in within 72 hours?

30 days, but the PDGA doesn't flex their muscles on this.

B tiers used to be required to report results within 72 hours and the TD report within a month. David Gentry and I always disagreed on what "report results within 72 hours" meant but I think they took that wording out altogether. I always took it to mean just posting online and David wanted the part of the TD report that had the results. Both David and I realized the argument was academic because the PDGA has never enforced any of these TD deadlines.

thanks to Adoni's efforts I'm betting that IL States will get in a *lot* earlier this year...  ;)

I admit it, I flaked one year and did not send in the results from a "B" tier for three months.  The PDGA sent me a letter telling me my name would be on a list in the next DGWN and that I'd have trouble getting a date approved for that tournament the next year if I didn't send my stuff in.  That was about it from the PDGA.

However...when the issue of DGWN came out that should have had the results and they were not included, I was cursed by everyone who played in the tournament every time I showed my face at a course until the next issue of DGWN came out.  Of course, that issue of DGWN was late (as usual) and it seemed like I listened to people complain forever.  That was much more effective than the letter from the PDGA.  After that I made sure the results went in the Monday after the tournament.

But I was a pretty lousy TD and that was back in the day when you would see "A" tiers on the list of tournaments that had not turned in their stuff on time.  Things have improved a lot since then.

I just got an e-mail from the PDGA HQ saying I never paid my fees from an April doubles thing I ran.  I was sure I had paid them on line but my credit card company said it never happened.

Back on topic, I did Kelsey's next rating based on the assumption that they will get Am Worlds unscrewed for ratings.  If they do get it unscrewed, she's going to 906.

I went up 6 pts

I was a bit puzzled that my 2nd Dineen round - which wasn't good by any standard - got such a brutal rating,  but otherwise everything else looks reasonable, if a bit lower than I had figured.

At least I've broken 890 finally, for the moment anyhow.

There's some juice in those ratings. My unofficials were about 20-30 points lower than officials at Crystal Lake. Still AM IV.

The Worlds ratings came out lower than what I got by running them through the ratings calculator.

Moving up the charts to number 5 from number 10, Kelsey Brakel.

Kira is now rated over 800.

Up one point to 914.  Any upward movement is better then I expected after worlds.  I was expecting to go the other way in a rocket ship.

I also thoguht my Dineen round was rated lower than it should have been Damon.

Up 1 point to 932!!!  Only 10 pts lower than 12 months ago and 25 points lower than 18 months ago.  Atleast I am consistently inconsistent.  Seriously, not that anybody cares, but I have 15 rounds over 960 and 15 rounds under 900.  Highest round 1012, Lowest round 839.  I have no idea what my problem is.

I am up to a new alltime high of 70 rounds in the database which means I have defnitely earned my rating.

I noted the same thing.  I simply do not understand what behind the scenes tweaking is done.

Two years ago Kelsey's rating was 804. Kira is 4 years younger than Kelsey. You do the math!  ;D

Up 5 points, which isn't much but I wanted to keep from sliding into the Rec division (I was at 875) Once Indiana States & the Invitational are applied I'll probably go back down though.  :-\

In general my official ratings for Worlds were about 10 pts lower per round, except for that one round, which was 26 pts worse and therefore smells funny. That made my average 10 pts lower for Worlds than I thought it would be.  :P

Also kind of strange that almost all of my other rounds this period were a couple of points within what the unofficial ratings were.

My official ratings for Am worlds were all lower than my unofficial which is probably because I was in pools that got screwed on the weather for the whole tourney.
