At Indiana States it was all the same tees, except there were different tees for the temp holes he had set up.

Can I hitch a ride from someone leaving from Lake county? I have gas and toll cash.

The work scheduling god's have allowed me to have sunday off.  I will finally be able to make this tournament.  I've heard a lot of good stuff about it and I like the courses. Hopefully it translates into a good showing, instead of my usual, good 1st round, hot lava meltdown second round.

Red is waay tougher. Except for the lake hole and after, Blue is pretty much open.

Nice birdie on 4 'spuds

I'm headin down for the dubs on Saturday. Keep in mind that everything is on Central time here, so nobody on this board will be affected but Indiana is a weird place when it comes to DST. 10:30 registration for the doubles, 2 rounds.

Lemon is a great course everyone says the red is harder then the blue. But i think that blue is way tougher..

tacimala

The course primarily on the west side of the street is definitely harder (I don't know which is which). The numbers don't lie!

West side is Red.  Yeah, red is definitely much tougher.  The elevation makes it a lot harder too.

I hit about a 200-220' shot for a deuce on the blue course at the homie last year, must be easy :P

Homie was a good time. By far the best IL/IN event of the year. Some nice additions to the courses with painted red & blue baskets. Can't wait to see the next course. Not sure of the official count but heard it was over 180 players.

Tom S. joined the Camry crew and survived the Chicago race home.

Team Camry just went out there and ran hard all day and god willing we have yet to lose a man yet.  We had some problems with a loose condition last time out, but 4 new tires and pressure adjustment seemed to do the trick as Sunday we were fast from start to finish.

Homie was a great time.  It was nice having Matt's mom serving us lunch and talking with the players.  The courses are great was well.  My only concern was having the rec. players play three holes each round that were shorter than the rest of the players.  I am not sure there werer enough propogators.  Rec. has the most non members or members who do not yet have a rating.  In the first round I played with a guy who shot +2.  It was his first tournament.  He was very talented but occasionally had a brain cramp.  He will be playing Intermediate or Advanced next year when he is more consistent.  His likely 900 rating will not be reflected on the field. Also, even if there were I really don't want to be in such a small sample.  Rec often has players with low rating who are on their way up and play seemingly way over their heads.  Nobody in Rec. has a high rating.  I would much rather play the same course as Brett and let the comparison ( as laughable as it may be) stand for what it is.  I think there is a risk of no ratings or very weird ones.  Let us play holes that are brutally long for us and put everybody on the same course. This happened at Indiana States a couple years ago.  I will have to look at the posted ratings (next year ;D) and add 2.8 strokes to my score and see where I would have been.

I have to get back to Lemon Lake soon.  I love these courses.

Did any other divisions other than Rec play the shorter layout?

So the women played the longer layout? I'd find that really strange. IIRC Last year the Adv Grandmasters, Int and Rec played the shorter layout.

Not in the Homie. I know Adv GM played the same layout.  URI...

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??
