How exactly does the renewal process work? Do you get something in the mail, or is it up to you to find the form, fill it out, and mail it in with your check?

Interesting... what if one would want to play a sanctioned event in January and you haven't received your new card/renewal stuff in the mail? I don't have anything planned, just curious.

Hmm, well thats good to know. Come to think of it I remember seeing stuff like that @ standing rocks last spring.

As far as the board.... what browser/os are you using? If its WinXP and/or IE6 then you have to add this site to your trusted list as IE6 by default blocks most cookies.

when did you join in 2002? Depending on when, your membership may automatically have been extended to cover 2003...

actually, you would be paying 30 to the club. 25 for pdga membership, 5 for the club.

And, I also have not received my 2003 packet. I'd suspect (hope) it will be coming sooner than later.

as long as I can remember, discontinuum has been listed as an affiliate club on the PDGA site.

So, what's the status of us being an official affiliate club?

We're no longer listed on the PDGA site, even though we had more than enough renewals to qualify....

Shawn speaks truthfully. It may not come until Dec or Jan, but they want your money; they will send stuff.

jim

More and more tournament directors are using laptops at events to check PDGA status in cases like this and when "dude, I forgot my PDGA card" happens.  Shouldn't be a problem.

Start thinking about the Cracked Plastic tourney in Kalamazoo in February!  I've heard it is a ton of fun....

jim

Our club is now listed as an Affilliate Club on the PDGA website.  However, my personal date is not updated on the PDGA website and I have not received any other info in the mail.

Maybe they processed the Affilliate Club stuff and forgot to do the rest.  I'll follow up later today or tomorrow.

jim

Emailed Cliff Towne at PDGA.  his mistake.  We'll be listed again soon.

Thanks for noticing Mirth.......................

i think it is up to each individual to find a way to renew it. i know there are renewals in the DGW Magazine & I printed one off from the PDGA page. You would think they would send a renewal form by mail.

PDGA Affiliate Club-] I heard Jim talk about this but I did not know we were an official affiliate club. Our club name is on there. If we have 10 members renew our PDGA membership, we each get $5.00 off. Also get a course directory for every 10 & can take the PDGA officials test with no fee. Do we have 10 members interested? I am!

what is wrong with this board?  I have to relogin everytime I want to reply.  I have played in events when my card did not get to me in time and the TD's understand.  If it is May, it is another story.

Damon, found this on PDGA's board about why it is not out yet.  My guess is that when disc tv went under, they did not have the cash to make them..

Guys the answer here is that unfortunately the PDGA is still unable to send out the 2002 Worlds video to the folk who have ordered copies. The latest news is that we expect to receive the draft master copy from Disctv sometime next week. We then will have to review it, determine if any changes/tweaks are needed and make those, then produce the copies, then airmail or 2 day them out to the purchasers from the PDGA Fulfillment House in Georgia. In short it looks like copies in mailboxes in 3-4 weeks. The PDGA apologizes for not having a better answer for you on this due to the matter being beyond our control.

Just read this,

Earlier this week we were promised the video in 10-14 days from Disctv. This is maybe the 8th promise we've had. If in the end we dont receive it the PDGA will refund all those $20 bills we collected for this product and I will be the happy person writing all the checks and making all the associated accounting entries. Rest assured the PDGA is exasperated with this ordeal and the impact it is having on our member-customers.

If you have a pretty good Anti-Virus program, try going dropping the privacy setting to low and see how that works.

If you're using IE 6.0, you should be able to change your settings by going Tool ] Internet Options ] Privacy.  There should be a vertical slide bar that is set on the third from the bottom hash.  If you move it to the second from the bottom hash, you should be good to go.  I just wanted to make sure you had a pretty good AV program to prevent viruses from being loaded by other sites you might visit.  I hope this works for you.
