...I think you have to put #7 as a par 4. The majority of the disc golfers will not take a 2. If you host a worlds there i'd put it at a par 3. It's one of the few holes i'd change out there. I'd move it closer or back farther...

In my opinion most people shouldn't be getting 2 on a par 3 hole. For whatever your given player level is par should be good golf and under par should be great golf. But it sounds like this hole is a tweener hole for the pros and probably also for good ams.

All in all though this sounds like a great course!

I've been thinkin about hole 4
Hole 4 choices-
White Tee can be either an easy par 4 or a hard par 3.
Blue Tee can be either an easy par 5 or a hard par 4.

I think they are gold level par 4/3.

I agree with Brett regarding on or over roads. Just makes #9 more of a golf hole rather than a bomb it out there hole.

I think #4 should be par 3 short par 4 long. I've been getting putts at 3 consistently from the shorts and I'm a rated 855. I think for people with bigger arms than me the temptation is to try and anhyzer past the turn and the stable out back towards the basket(RHBH). I play position on it, flick off the tee past the turn, kinda towards #8s tee and then upshot.

#7 is a weird one. I could see anyone with more D than me getting close enough to make a run at 2 there regularly. I've been getting 3 there when I don't gack a putt.

QuoteVery very tough 2.

(Hole 7)
I've watched Al H. get his drives up to the basket going the lefty route, Tom Matesivic get drives up to the basket going up the gut and I've parked it going the righty hyzer route.  Thats three 950-970 golfers that I've seen 2 it or be 50 ft or less on a consistent basis.
I think if you played the hole a few more times, maybe in some calm conditions you'd be up there putting for a 2.

I think it will be a better hole once some of the low hanging branches that hang in the up-the-gut route are gone.

For those of you who have played the blues here.......in your opinion, what would be considered a 1000 rated round?

Last time I shot here, I shot a 65 on the blues (Not bad for an 828 rating!) and to me, it felt like 900 or so golf.

I can't wait to play this course more..(when it isn't 40 degrees out, thats for sure.)

Nice day today out there, good weather for this time of year. Saw lots of familiar faces.

16's basket is missing due to the dirt moving (can't remember if someone posted that already or not)

Also they have trash cans on lots of the holes now so the trash issue should be much better moving forward.

based on the Joliet Pro Championships i would say that 1000 is around 55 from the blues

I shot a 58 from the Blues a few weeks ago with no 2's.  Felt like 975-985.  I'm going to have to agree with Jason and say it is close to 55, maybe even 56-57...

not yet.  there are mounds of dirt now that weren't there before on 10's fairway.  We called it as a possible new OB, must clear mounds or re tee.  No 16 at all.  We played from 16's tee to 10's basket just to keep a flow going.  It probably won't change too much until the weather warms up and they have a chance to do some work out there.

first time playing there

I played it yesterday. Tons of fun. But when it has recently rained, you better pray that your disc doesn't stop on the sides of the ravine.

Played Highland Park after work today. They already have concrete poured for most of the white tees. The only tees that still have yet to be poured are 5, 6, 7, and 12. These already have frames in place so I'm guessing they will be done shortly. Only a couple of the blue tees had concrete. I assume they will pour blues after the whites are all done. This is a huge improvement and makes the course much more enjoyable to play.

Can anyone help describe this course in a little detail?
Anyone that has played the courses in the Peoria area, is it similiar to any of them? Or, after the new design to Sinissippi, is it similiar to that at all? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
