Discraft has discontinued a bunch of discs this month.  The list looks something like this, although I may have missed one.:

X Challenger, Z Putt'r, X Wasp, Z Breeze, X Storm, Z Storm, X Crush, X Tracker, X Talon, Z Talon, X Predator.

For the Breeze, Storm & Talon that would make them completely OOP unless they come back later in ESP.

They are probably just cancelling slow-selling models so that they can run more discs in ESP.  But there are Internet rumors that it is the beginning of the end for X plastic.  Since this is the Internet, has anyone heard any rumors they would like to contribute?

This wouldn't surprise me at all, and it's a good move by Discraft for a number of these.  I don't know if it's the end of X-Plastic since they still have plenty of other models available, but I'm a little surprised to see the X-Wasp on the list.  Some, like the X-Tracker, are already off of Discraft's order form, others are just being marked as OOP (blacked out) in the weights they no longer have instead of yellow markings saying just out of stock.  I give a mini "woohoo" to the removal of the X-Tracker - I can't find anybody that is interested in the disc at all.  X-Talon is off the list to order, but Z-Talon still seems to have everything available.

I don't think Mr. Barish would be too happy to read about the Storm going away!

With these changes, however, if this opens Discraft up to make some new stuff that is in a plastic that people demand as well as some sort of "killer" new disc to compete with the Destroyer, then I'm all for it.

I'll be sorely missing the Z-talons as they have been a mainstay in my bag since the day they came out. Good thing I have stocked up on them throughout the years.

Methinks its time to introduce to the public the Venom and the Drone in ESP plastic..

I think it is more about the way they are describing their inventory than anything they are actually doing.  Instead of calling something out-of-stock when they have no immediate plans to produce it, now they are going to call it discontinued.  Instead of having 20% of their discs out-of-stock, they will have 20% discontinued.  It's not like they are throwing out the mold for the Storm or the Talon.  Then when they produce them again, instead of being back in stock they will call it a special limited run, or something like that.

Discraft has more discs than they have the capacity to produce right now.  So does Innova, for that matter.  They are just using different words to describe the discs they don't plan on producing anytime soon.

Scott, you are right.  The Storm is the official disc of puss armed slingers worldwide.  If you have a couple around 170g I will take them off your hands. I only have one. Thanks.

I only have 1 x-storm 169g white right now, but if I should happen to have some money come end of January and they still have some of these discontinued items available, then I will order all of that stuff.  Feel free to snag some from Bruce if he has them.
