That one is more for Ann Arbor, MI people. He also set up a national one at http://discgolfer.ning.com/.

The concept of this is good, but once my site (drums please) comes out it will blow this type of a site out of the water! Think facebook meets the course directory meets wikipedia meets disc golf review.

Can't wait to see yours. I wish I could stick a wiki in mine. Everyone come on over . . . http://www.discgolfer.org !

I posted this at my discgolfersr.us page, but thought I'd post here too.

This guy has been asking me to work up some Stevie Ray Vaughan disc art.  I spent some time looking at pictures and found something that was Stevie Ray iconic that I could work with.  I reduced it to something i could dye as a simple one-color thing.

I don't really know Stevie Ray Vaughan's music, or whether he has a wide following.  Apparently he is dead.  This is what I came up with.  If you know the musician, comment on whether this captures him well:

Good picture. Saw Stevies last concert at Alpine Valley. He died in a helicopter crash leaving that concert. That would be awesome on a disc. He had a huge following!

Steve and Garry were invited on that helicopter but when they got there they said that they only had room for one of them. They decided they would both take the limo to the after concert party.

How many people reading this know Steve and Garry?

Stevie Ray Vaughn was a blues artist with a huge following in the mid 80's. I think the pic you have is great and will transferr quite well.

I have over 330 cassette tapes of Steve & Garry. Most of them are 90 minute tapes. And I usually paused the tape recorder when the commercials came on. So it's a lot of the show...dating back to the days on the Loop with Buzz in '79. I'll have to transfer them to CD someday.

Luckily they're all in good shape...and have the whole Marcus Palmer, Stan, Maggie Brock era. Earliest days of Johnny B, Kevin Matthews, Ed Till (including phone calls made before those 3 signed with the Loop & WLS). And all the other stuff (Larry Lujack fight, management fights, Les Grobstein stuff, Gary Dotson stuff, It's Too Early shows, interviews with Richard Lewis, Jay Leno, Spinal Tap, Joe Walsh, you name it...

If my Steve Dahl & Teenage Radiation t-shirt would still fit me, I'd still be wearing it.   O0

Just think if Steve and Garry had gotten on the chopper.  You'd only have like 257 cassettes of Steve and Garry.

I saw a bunch of facebook friends requests in my e-mail from disc golfers I know.

I don't actually use facebook.  I thought I had deleted my account.  Maybe I had to revive it for some reason.  Anyway, I just delete the e-mail from facebook.  No offense intended.
