Went out to Lemon on Friday- it was a good time. There was a stream running through the course and it was very, very wet.  Other than that, everything looks good.  It was my first time out there since homie in 06.  Got confused about the mando and what route you are supossed to go on the first hole after the 'lake hole' (Blue). 

Shot a 56 on the Red and a 55 on Blue.  Took 5's on both courses.

Can't wait to go back and get patriotic and play Red, White and Blue.
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

Last sunday chanced into a work day for the gold course and then got to play the first 10 holes or so and if you make it down to play be ready to be challenged there was a 900 footer followed by a hole that had to be every bit of 1100 feet then three holes down an easment where a pipe line was put in. from what I saw I believe the SSA for this course will be around 80

The game plan is to have the short tees complete and ready to play by tourney day... We worked from 9 till dark both days... We got 14 holes done in two days thats pretty good for the lengths of the holes... The plan is to have open and advance play the gold course for the opener...   The course is amazing, it is a must play course... Hopefully you guys come out to the tourney its up on pdga now.... If you cant make it to the tourney you should atleast check out the gold course...

me to this course will challenge anyone... Alls i have to say is dont get off the fareways or you are in a world of trouble.. These holes are crazy...

Played the new course today, I guess they're calling it Silver for the shorts and Gold for the longs. Mostly in the woods with a few in an open field. Made for a fun day playing all three courses there, worth a stop to check it out. They've groomed the Blue holes in the woods a bit, making the hole after the lake shot easier. Only bad thing was that they were out of course maps for the new course. If anyone has one or gets one, please post it, thanks

I liked silver, but it wasn't as hard of a course as some had originally made it out to be. There are several tough holes that combine distance and accuracy, there are 6 or 7 short tunnel type shots under 350 and there are a couple long holes out in the open. Depending on the pin placement of the one long hole it is a very tough 3 and even a tough 4 if you get caught up in the shule.

I think what I like most about the course is that it's really not like the other two courses at all. The other two courses I have always found somewhat similar and I can never remember which hole belongs to which course. Not the case with silver. Good addition to Lemon Lake for sure.

I was not impressed with the silver course design.  It was righty dominant, not even close to balanced.  I saw one lefty hyzer hole.  It was not designed with the safety of other park users in mind.  There were places where you were driving across a bike path or a horse path.  There are many places where the course design is going to cause erosion problems, unless they are planning on building retention walls and stairs.  And, it was mostly conventional par 3 golf except for one long hole that was totally out of place with the rest of the course.  The course will probably have an SSA of 47 or 48.  There was nothing that seemed particularly clever, original or interesting. 

They did a good job with hole seperation and routing.  I cannot think of anywhere that players from another hole were in your fairway, or where the next tee was too close to the previous basket.  And they did a good job of placing the course close to two other courses, so you can play all day there. 

I would rate the silver course as average, but still better than most of the courses we use for the IOSeries.

i liked the silver course it definitely is a hard course not the hardest i have played but i would not say that that it is righty dominate because there are alot of short holes that play to a lefty bruce is just crazy it is a not an easy course for rightys . the creek bed that plays through most of the wooded holes can get anybody into trouble. i look forward to the gold course being finished longer tighter holes the the silver.

The silver course was designed to be challenging for all skill levels.  There are a few more righty holes then lefty.. but i wouldnt say that the course is geared towards righties...  I Cant wait to hear peoples comments when the gold course is finished...

I will resume this. I am short on time. My opinion on righty or lefty friendly. I agree with Bruce and think this course leans towards the righty. I would not want to be a left handed player on #3 & #18 that is for sure. If the normal pin on #8 is used i'd say that hole would end up favoring a righty as well with that last approach/fairway drive. 4 of the 6 lefty holes I used a Roc or Buzz.

I expected this course to be longer and harder from what I was being told. It's a good course and has some good holes. Some very fast greens.

I could also make an arguement that hole #12 sets up better for a righty. If a lefty hyzers near the woods to the right their approach shot is much more difficult. A righty that makes a similar shot ends up being on the left hand side of the fairway with a better angle on the approach.

I am interested to see the scores from the gold course (long tees). I played many of them in practice and it will definitely add strokes to your score. The gold tee on #6 makes that hole really difficult. That would be an awesome 3. The Gold tees on #8 & #9 add 2 strokes to your score. Hole #11 gold tee is tough and adds anywhere from 1 to 3 more strokes. Who knows, maybe more. I could see some major blow ups on that hole. I also saw a gold tee on hole #2. What other holes have gold tees?

Dont hold me to this cause it was awhile ago we put the holes in.. but 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,15,16,17,18 i remember those have gold tees for sure

When talking about righty or lefty holes a lot of people make the mistake of assuming that a hole that the basket is to the right is a lefty hole and a hole that the basket is to the left is a righty hole. I've played plenty of courses where there was a much better righty turn over shot and come back than there was a normal left hyzer route. On a hole that has a route or multiple routes I usually have to look at it for a minute and make airplane motions with my hand to figure out if it is a lefty hole or a righty hole. I think what a lot of us just look at and assume is left favorable really isn't. People who throw with both can usually do this quicker than those of us who only throw from the right.

Ya i do that to... I spin around in circles about 30 times. then look at the hole and make my decision... and if its still hard to tell ill put my right finger on my nose... its all about the airplane motions...

Well, if like 3% of disc golfers are left handed (throwing out wild generalizations here) then shouldn't only 1 or 2 holes out of 18 be designed for left handed people?
