Also...any chance I can get that "info" now? I might be busy in the future, and not be available at that "near future" time.

'Preciate it.

DWO is not just a club but a brotherhood that  intends to compete at various tournaments and participate in other activities outside disc golf.   DWO is composed of the " Originals " who started Fox Valley Metro Disc Golf Club but became frustrated with the club's direction.

Dan Michler

Evidently Fox Valley was moving in a heterosexual direction much to the dismay of the "Originals".

Good luck with you brotherhood and various 'other activities'!

Dan, you are a funny man and maybe comedy clubs are in your future.  Honestly,  we are just like family and if you have a problem with that then see you at Bevier.

Dan Michler

I have a problem with you trying to split a relatively new and quickly growing club in half because you aren't happy with somebody else's opinions.  That helps nobody and takes away from the fun of the whole thing.

Thanks for saying it, Dan.

All of us word it different ways, but you've hit on the real issue. We are all better together, than we are apart. And you are right, it took the fun out of disc golf for a few of us. Hopefully, temporarily.

Maybe hearing this from someone outside of our area might help things get back to the way they should be, for all of us.

The determination as to what defines 'a club' for the purposes of the challenge will be left up to the TD, however one thing that is not desired is a group of people or friends banding together and calling themselves a club only for the sake of playing in the club challenge. If you're a member of several actual (either incorporated or not, but a nonetheless real) clubs then you will need to pick whose club you're going to play for.

If DWO (WTF does that stand for?) is forming merely for the club challenge then you may be out of luck. If you're trying to establish yourself as a bona-fide club and this thread isn't about the club challenge, then good luck to you.

Dan is right, however, that fragmenting one club into smaller bands simply isn't in anybody's long term best interests. I don't claim to know what the backstory is between you and Fox Valley, however the best way to get your opinions heard and considered is to get onto the club Board...
Discontinuum went thru this and it nearly killed us. Luckily we didn't have any secessions from the union.
Don't forget your towel!
