How domey are others CFR destoyers?  The one in my pic is one of the IOS#2's & is very domey, I have another I picked up for a ctp in Indy that was donated from the Corpus Christie Open, it's max weight & very flat. Could it be that my oj destroyer is domey because it's lighter (only by a few grams tho @ 172)

I'd really like another one that's flat as can be & max weight (similar to my first run star that found the pond on 19)

CEValkyrie

The Rockford Destroyers are very domey and overstable.

The Homie Destroyers from last year were very flat and not as overstable as the Rockford run.

Both companies are having production issues with the new wider rimmed discs.  It is very hard to control the final product when there is that much plastic in the rim.  This is according to an insider I talk to at Discraft.  You pretty much have to know what you want and inspect them before you buy them.  That's o.k. with face-to-face vendors like me!

You can flatten out a domey disc by putting it in a 175 degree oven for 5 to 15 minutes. Is this a post production modification? Maybe. Players are not allowed to make post production modifications...have a friend or loved one do it for you!!!  >:D

I once had this conversation with a player:

Player:  So bruce, I've heard that sometimes when you dye a disc it gets less domey.
Bruce:  Yeah, if you heat set the dye.
Player:  Could you dye this disc?
Bruce: DX Rhyno? DX doesn't take much dye.  What do you want on it?
Player: A flat top, mainly.  This disc, this color, this weight, I'd pay double if it had a flat top.  Domey like this its crap.
Bruce: I could try dying that disc.  And you want me to use the clear dye?
Player: Yeah, that would work.

What is the stamp on these CFR discs?

Bruce Brakel

Mostly the PT Cruiser, but I'd be happy to bring stamp removal gear to IOS 4 and make them Cruiser-free for free.  And that segues in to what I came out here to post!

Because us merch guys all have a gag agreement with Innova, you might not be aware that Innova has raised its prices twice in the last year.  I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to tell how much we're paying, but Discraft is not lying on their website.  If you go look, add 10% for shipping, and those of us who are legit also are paying sales tax.  If you see a gas station or liquor store charging $20 for Star or $18 for Champion, they're just trying to get the same standard mark up on Innova that they get on everything else they stock.  They are not really price gouging at all.

My brass prices on Innova would be 20 for Star and 18 for Champion except I don't charge zero for the free stuff.  When I do custom stamping they send free stuff.  Hats, towels, shirts, minis, disc golf DVDs -- that's all free stuff.  They send enough of that to keep my Brass prices at 18 and 16 and cover shipping and tax.

I'd be happy to put cooler art on the discs.  Artsy people feel free to help out.  And Innova stamps come off clean from the champion plastic.  I'd be happy to start bringing rags and acetone and do stamp removal as a public service.  Star plastic sometimes gets smeary when you take off a stamp, but its not like the ESP that can kind of melt and peel.

Back on topic, if anyone would like a geometric CFR disc, I'd be happy to do them.  Here are some samples that are readily available:
