The google map is updated to be short-long. A couple of things to note for the local folks.: On Hole 2, which is short and which is long is reverse to most people. Round 1 uses the North "long" tee. Round 2 uses the South "short" tee. On Hole 17/18: The basket for 17 will not be used, an alternate hole to the basket for 18 will be used.

Edit: Brett has "corrected" hole 2 and hole 17 and hole 18 will be played per normal course routing.

can't putt

Just FYI, the entire course is completely dry, including 17 and 18 fairway.  I don't think there would be any problem playing 17 this year if so chosen.

you guys sure you still want to do the swap on hole 2?  It might make it easier to just switch it and not cause the confusion that it did last year...  as much as we want to be naive and believe it, but not everyone listens at a players meeting :)

If its that confusing perhaps a sign can be put on the tees.  ie: "ROUND 1 TEE" and "ROUND 2 TEE" If I recall, they are basically twin tees that are a about 15 ft apart each going on the opposite side of a big tree. They are essentially the same distance.

I don't know. Giving players two strokes for not paying attention at the players' meeting sounds good to me.  >:D ;D

I put out pink tape for the second round on the tee that we were NOT using. I'll do it both rounds this year.

I updated the attachment to my original post.

I think hole #2 debacle is now fixed. I have a hard time in my mind thinking of one of them being long and the other short. It's 190ft & 190ft. I do like the idea of paying attention to the printed materials and player meeting info. Ask Nikko how he liked the mando on his home course he didn't know about  ;D.

Hole 17 & 18 will be played as normal.

The Google Map is updated to reflect Hole 2 (south=short) and to play 17 & 18 normal.

I might be wrong but I think hole 16 is backwards on the map.  It shows 16 basket and 15 basket right next to each other. I thought 16 basket was by 17 tee pad?

Very nice maps, although hole ten on the west course should be moved south about 150ft and hole eleven on the west course is backwards. everything else is very accurate. nice work

Corrected. West is the new course. East is the original course.

Nice maps, being an out of towner I love these things.  They are my first look at courses I will pretty much play "blind" otherwise.  Thanks!

Course update.
The temporary course will be marked by 12pm on Friday. All 18 rubber tee
pads and tee signs will be in place. The baskets will NOT be set up
Friday. All basket locations will be clearly marked and the course will be
open for practice at noon. If there are more than 3 pools there will be a practice area by the entrance of the park. There is plenty of room to throw and there will be a basket for putting.
