I've got Am Grand, Juniors Under 16, and Intermediate Women trophy discs under way.

I did Am Masters and Pro Masters without pre-reg.  I can always dye out the trophy information later if these divisions don't show up.

I second that, so that must be the official IOS stance on towels used as shoes for your knees.

Not to derail this tourney thread, but the PDGA Rules Committee has issued a new Q&A regarding towels (they are now allowed for any body part other than your feet). They also added a new rule defining small pad: leave your fluffy spa towels at home.

It is nice to see I was right all along.   ;)  Probably even your big fluffy towel is going to squish down to less than a cm, but who in the US knows how big a cm is?

So then now using a towel to stand on when putting on ice is now illegal? I carried a beach towel with me all winter long and pretty much anytime it wasn't solid footing I'd lay that down like a magic carpet. Now illegal except on the teepad?

I don't think you'll have to worry about ice this weekend in Kenosha, but yes, standing on a towel (other than the teepad) is illegal. Many would argue that it has always been that way. Just invest in some crampons for next winter  ;)

Brett, I think you've got Adrian Jr's PDGA # there instead of Senior's.....  ;)
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Bruce Brakel

And Senior's number for Junior's on the other day.

Thanks for updating the pre-reg.  We finished the straggler trophy discs tonight and did some other stuff.  I heat set a Darkside Force and came within minutes of overcooking it.  It came out really nice.

I think this is the year Kelsey will beat Barrett at a tournament.  She's beaten me twice in a row on Cass Benton longs.  Tonight I beat her by 3 in the big D part of the course and then she beat me by 4 in the accuracy part.

Also, the divisional plan seems to be working well to split the field 50/50.  I'm surprised by the absence of an am master field, but in 2001 when they started using ratings breaks on the main am divisions I thought the age based divisions would wither away.  Looks like there are four or five masters and grand masters playing intermediate.

So then when does Kelsey turn pro?
She's 18 now, so she can turn pro whenever she wants.  She likes playing in large divisions.  She likes playing with people she has not played against before.  I think she'll stay am for awhile.  But she also likes money, so she might change her mind someday.  Someday when pro women make money!

last yr @ Kenosha I think there were 5 or 6 am GM and *no* am masters. I imagine you'll get some on Sunday. I've got a conflict this Sunday so I can only play one day this year.
