   Bruce is probably on the road by now. I'm not sure where he is staying tonight and can't gurnantee he'll be there at 8pm. There will be spots open Saturday morning. As of now there are 50 spots open for Saturday.

Actually I think there' was a mistake here, the Jeff Collins that pre-reg'd is a buddy of mine that is not a PDGA member.  I'm pretty sure he's had this problem before, two discing Jeff Collin's in Indiana. I managed to rally up him & his brother to make the trip from Indy with me this time.

Hi everyone.  I heard from JCthrills that there was some confusion regarding my signup for IOS #4 at Aurora this weekend. 

There are at least 3 disc golfers with the name "Jeff Collins" in Indiana.  I've played in one tournament with an advanced golfer named Jeff A. Collins who is a PDGA member from northern Indiana, and I've been told that there's an older gentleman named Jeff Collins that has played tournaments in the past.

  I'm Jeff D. Collins, have been playing since Sept. 2007, and I am not a PDGA member.  I have been trying to sign up for most of my tournaments as "Jeffe Collins" (a nickname) lately as a way to avoid confusion, but hadn't thought that the madness would follow me to Illinois. 

At any rate, just wanted to confirm that I have no PDGA number and would like to play in the amateur recreational division on Sunday.

   Sorry for the confusion. Please make sure to mention this at registration if I an not around at the time you arrive. As you can see we are very thorough and do our best to make sure players play the correct division. Thank you for coming to play the IOS!

I have a rules question about something I saw in that YouTube video from IOS#5 from last year.

There is a clip where a guy drives then takes off his hat and throws it to the ground.

Is that a penalty?

You can warn him for courtesy violation.( 801.01 b ) Next time he would be pentalized 1 stroke per violation or if the guy gets to stupid the TD can disqualify him.

And in this case, the guy smiled after he picked up his hat. He was upset with his throw, but didn't bring anybody down in the group with a bad attitude. He wasn't really as upset as he looks in the video.
