2008 Amateur National Championship

Woo-hoo!  IOS road warrior Jesse Cahill qualified today during the week-of qualifying.  Seven Illinois players are in, but a dozen IOS players are in.  Watch for scores on-line tomorrow as they come off the course, starting around noon.  Jesse should be on the first card.  I'll be coming in around 2:00. 

I took the day off from throwing, got the steroids and got some prescription anti-inflams for the shoulder.The doctor says he needs to consult with a radiologist because the film showed an abnormality.  He said to withdraw if it starts to really hurt, or if they institute steroid testing at this tournament!

Overheard today at the Tobbogan:

"That guy is on steroids and telling everyone!"

Check out my rating compared to last year.  I can get these steroids three times a year.  Worlds, hmmm, isn't that the worst of ragweed season?  Holy cow this stuff is good.  There's absolutely no way you can blame a guy for taking this stuff when MLB or whoever is looking the other way and the Cubs or whoever are paying him 5 million a year to be a superstar.  I'd take this stuff and pay $1,000 a year.  You can get it for poison ivy too.  I'm going to have to start rolling maked in poison ivy before the big ones!

Other than a triple bogey on 16, my round today was just as fine as yesterday.  Oof.  Triple bogey.  Got into a russian olive thicket and could not get out.

Two were from the players pack.

Two Kira won in Friday's Lizard Games and sold to me for $5 each.

One I won in Friday's Lizard Games.

Four Kira got for shagging during the driving clinic and she got another for being there during the driving clinic. I bought them from her for $5 each.

I got two for shagging and one for being there at the driving clinic.

After my rounds I was working on dying discs. Every time I sold a disc I'd run over to the merch table with the money and buy something you cannot get generally, like Buzzz SSs or ESP Comets. I got four discs that way. Converted a lot of ordinary Innova to primo Discraft.

We got two discs each from playing speed golf on sunday and Kira won one in Lizard Games.

If you work it, this tournament is fat with prizes!

2009 Am Nationals

This just in:  If you are rated 940 or above, you are qualified for Am Nationals this year.  Read the thread if you don't already know how good this tournament is.  I don't know whether I will attempt to qualify this year.  I'm 939.
