The course is less than 10 miles southwest of the Oswego course. Don't use the Mapquest directions. I just checked them. Those are crazy.

The Oswego Course (Eagle Ridge) runs along Rt 25. Take Rt 25 to Rt 34. Make a right. Rt 34 takes you right to Fox Hill

There are signs for all this winding around but...note that Rt 34 is Chicago Rd for a couple blocks then turns right, and becomes Washington St. You go over the river, and make a left at the stoplight. (This is all Rt 34. All this winding around is within a mile distance to get you around downtown Oswego).

Rt 34 and Rt 31 are the same road. So if you are coming from the Crystal Lake area on Rt 31, just stay on that road. It turns into Rt 34. If you are taking Rt 47, that's even better. That will intersect with Rt 34. You make a right at the intersection of Rt 47 & Rt 34.

When you see the new Super Target, Kohl's, Hospital, etc, Sycamore Rd is coming up.

Make a left on Sycamore. Drive up the block to John St. and make a right. The course is on John St.

It's less than a mile up. Park along the street, by the baseball diamond.

The practice basket & #1 teebox are to the right of the baseball field.

Anyone play here yet? Thoughts and/or impressions? Is it worth me driving over from Aurora/Oswego?

12 holer, it is really open as the trees they put in are brand new, however, they make good use of the lack of obstacles by placing the baskets close to potential hazards (i.e retention ponds, thick schule (which is full of thorns)) that give the baskets some elevation. There is a wooded hole that is pretty short, but if your drive goes off to the left, there is a creek and pretty thick vegetation to contend with.

This course was very frustrating to me. The land isn't the greatest but it does have some pretty good rough that includes water. There is some slight elevation change in spots. It wasn't going to be an awesome course but it could have been a decent 9 hole course.

Grass tee pads for the most part. 1 Gravel tee pad. 2 dirt tee pads.

I'm not sure how/why the number of holes (12) was determined. After hole #1 you walk to #2. # 2 throws down the tree line opposite of hole #3. After playing a 275ft hole you walk back down the fairway(reverse) to get to #3. Just ridiculous!

#1 instead of being a wide open 180ft hole could have thrown to 3's basket making it a decent hole.

#4 is a good hole with a tunnel throw across the creek.
#5 is a good hole.
#6 isnt' a bad hole leading to a good hole #7.

It's hole #8 where I was ready to blow up. There is a nice tunnel of trees with water on the right. There could have been 2 shorter tunnel holes or a pretty long hole down the tunnel. Instead you walk down the path 100 or so feet to get to #8's tee to play a 240ft hole. Unreal!

This was the least favorite of the 6 courses we played today.

Glad my brother & I skipped checking this out today Brett, sounds like I would've had a hard time convincing him to go to anything new for a bit after this park

The Yorkville Park District moved a tee box or two to accomodate the bitchers who live on that course. Really a unfriendly atmosphere. None of the property owners that live next to that course were for putting that course in. As a matter of fact they were against putting in the baseball field too. Park District told me that the people living on the course told them that there is constant gambling out there. They said they saw people exchanging money every hole. What a joke that is. I told the Park District that the property owners are a bunch of liars. The Park District told our club not to play league events there unless we contact them first. I personally will not go back unless there is a attitude adjustment. The course isnt worth putting up with all  that B.S.

sounds like the people that live on the rightside of the fairway on hole nine at sinnissippi park, thats why they had to move the teepad last year cause all the new people that moved in to those houses dont understand the sport so they just bitch about it. what a shame. glad i didnt stop there yesterday i went to oswego instead and got an ace on 8.

It could be a fun place to hold a gorilla non-violent action leage--- have everybody show up wearing ties and shirts with their shorts and the shirts tucked in. Bring monopoly money and have everybody sit for tea or Koolaid at the end of the round.  Bring some putters to hand out to locals who happen to be in the area and give them a lesson.
