i figured i would start a thread for folks that want to know or post info on any course after a major storm or park renovation.
this hopfully will help the rest of us when we tend to travel and play after a storm or something.

i was in rockford yesterday there were some branches down, but they were being cleaned up.

i was in kirkland today and the tree in the middle of the fairway on hole three is half broken down, one of the trees by the basket of four is 3/4 broken down, hole six had some branches down, on hole eight there is a half of tree down blocking the basket from your drive, hole fourteen is a mess something fell off of every tree it seems like. the rest are fine.  :-[
hole nine had a new post and sign. :D

post info if you have it.

if anybody is on the emailing list from Channel Z - Riverside Park in Hammond, IN - was struck by F-2 Tornado forces on Monday and a couple baskets were destroyed by trees.

I noticed that a lot of trees were down in some cemetaries along Roosevelt Rd east of Oak Brook, but I don't know how badly things were affected at the disc golf courses in that general area.

Mad Meadows is fine. On Tuesday, Oak Brook had a tree down on the path from 7 basket to 8 tee, but it's likely cleaned up.

We had our leagues going on Monday night when the storm hit in Oswego. Eagle ridge had some big branches fall but nothing like the ass kicking Jericho got with big branches and tress down everywhere. Between 3 and 4 there is a big tree that was twisted and brought down but not interfering with any play. There is a tree down along hole 5 that may increase the chances of going in the drink if you head that way. Between holes 15 and 16 there are 2 big pines down, if you have a big hyzer it may just have opened up some more air space for you. Other than that the little trees that were taken out really didn't seem to matter. The course is playable and the trees and branches add a little spice to the game.

i was at the oaks in mokena yesterday.  all the down trees pieces were piled up in the middle of the open field in the back (between 11 and 12 i think)  none of them were in play unless you throw a more wild forehand than me.  they were clearing it up while I was there, but there was a lot.

there was also a down dead tree on 16? but it looked like it was not new.  first time there so not sure but it was just a throw over or around.  didn't really come into play for me and I roll too much.  from the looks of it, i believe it was there for a while.

that's it, it's chucking time.

I heard the new course that was supposed to be pretty awesome in Milan, IL got pretty much destroyed by the big storm that hit out there in July.

The course damage even made the TV news back there, according to my sister.

My heart dropped when reading this, thinking you were going to say Highland Park.  Whew.  That sucks for the Milan course.  Is that the one that Sprague was designing?
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

Camden 2 was desinged by sprague and the qc club has been helping build it....and yes it took a big beating in that storm a few weeks ago.  we are trying to get it back to being playable at least for the river city rumble in october so come on down and check it out!

Jericho Lake in Aurora suffered some damage as well. The most drastic was on hole #15 with 2 pine trees being knocked down. There is now a righty hyzer line that never used to be there from the shorts. Also along hole 12 there were some trees down. Hole #5 had a tree down on the left side of the fairway that made the tunnel shot about half as wide.  As well as many branches scattered throughout the course as well.
