I am very pleased with the finish to the year. I was actually surprised to see my rating jump to the highest it's ever been. If I could get started and keep it rolling I could possibly hit that 1000 mark but i'm not sure if i'm capable at playing at the level for long periods of time. I pretty much get everything out of my skill level that I possible can. I scratch and claw for every possible stroke. One goal of mine is to cash at Worlds. I'm 0 for 2.

I started preparing for 2009 that Monday after the Joliet Pro Championships. I'm down 7lbs after 4 weeks and hoping to drop 10 to 15 more. I'm hoping to get my weight between 200 to 205 by April. I haven't seen those #'s since 1998.

Putting continues to stay at the top of my priority list in areas to improve. I also want to add a forehand I can trust into the mix. Can't wait for 09!

by the slimmest of margins I accomoplished my rating goal for the summer.  Made 900 exactly on this update :)  Not bad after starting the year at 852, bombing @ BG to drop to 842 & putting a ton of time & effort into my game to climb to 900.  I also moved back to Michigan from Indy so the competition should be a bit tougher than back in Indy. (Alot of players moved straight to Open in Indy after getting the hang of the game)

i moved up 12 points. 899 to 911. 14 yrs old. next year my goal by the end of the year is to be in the 930 range

went up 9 to 938.  The first round at Hamilton was dropped and thank god.  Although I am proud of not being last in advanced even though i had gone to the emergency room that friday of the  tournament with a ripped up finger from work and had to throw the disc in between my middle and ring finger so it wouldn't rip my bandage off causing even more pain.  My goal is to steadily increase with no stalling or dropping next year.

There is only one difference between a madman and me. I am not mad.

I don't have any dropped rounds.

There was a time when I was the PDGA's second most consistant player, second only to Mark Ellis.  Back when Rodney used to do stats he once sorted the player data base by Standard Deviation and figured this out.  Back then Mark Ellis was consistantly good and I was consistantly awful, but at least I was consistant.   ;D

I'm up 59points. from 585 to 644.    There is a benefit to getting rating right after you throw your 1st disc.  You move up quickly.  Hope I can keep moving up for a while.    ;D

You do move up quickly for awhile and that's really fun.  I can remember watching Kelsey and her friends gain 20 or 30 ratings points every update and we'd project a straight line to Ken Climo.  At 59 points per update, you'll be #1 in the Open Men's field in about 2 years!   ;D

The other nice thing about getting a rating right away is when you slow down on improving your rating keeps going up as the early low rated rounds drop off.

Used my new 900 rating this weekend in Ypsilanti & entered my first tourney in Am2.... 4 strokes off the lead going into round 2 & pulled out a victory by staying calm through the storm so to speak.  Couple inches of snow fell during the 2nd round.  Good start to the move up eh :)
