disc golf on nickelodeon

i was finishing supper and my boys turned on nickelodeon and the show zoey 101(not a cartoon) was on.  the whole episode today is about making disc golf a school sport. i thought this was a real nice pop for the sport. one of the girls on the show was holding an aviar putter. so if you have kids this is the show to watch.

For those of you who have Satellite and get Nick West (Dish Network it's channel 171), they will have the same episode of Zoey 101 at 9PM tonight.  Too bad I don't have a DVR or anything to record it!

they were using discatcher baskets and it seemed innova dx plastic discs. if you go to the nickelodeon webpage and look at zoey 101 schedule you can read a bio of the episode.

Just finished watching the show.  I don't plan on making it a habit to watch the show, but it's a great start to introducing kids to the sport.  I greatly appreciate them referring to it as disc golf the entire show

Some of the stuff was completely off - especially how they worked a competition between two schools.  However, people that know nothing about it wouldn't pay as much attention to that and will learn the proper rules later!

I saw the DX Aviar, there was also a DX Leopard, and I'm pretty sure I saw some Sharks too.

It was quite funny to see some of the discs thrown horribly from the camera angle and then it shows either a flat shot straight into the basket or a hyzer that was not even close to the angle of the disc when first thrown haha.

Glad to see stuff like this spreading word of the sport!

Nick is usually captioned but im rarely stationed at a tv =o/
