Thumber disc advice?

for me the arm pain only comes if i dont stretch before i throw them... also at the end of the year after playing alot it starts to bother me..  The last year i have been working on alternate shots instead of over hand shots.. but man its hard to stop using it 100% when it is that accurate.

I think this is something that many disc golfers don't do.  It is especially important when you use the overhand shot. 

During the round, if I know I have a thumber shot coming up I try and do some quick (re)stretching and then mimick the overhand throw with a towel.

I've changed up the way I throw thumbers...and now I can throw them pretty much all day with no pain.

For a thummer it all depends on the person and that persons release angle and mechanics,  for me i use a z flick, its by far the farthest fling thummer out there from what i hear too.  I believe it all depends on how far u want ur thummer to go, for max D i use the flick and for med range its a 11x champ firebird and for  250 and under its a whippet x.  The more overstable a disc is the longer it will take for it to do its turn in the air  so for shorter range use something less stable so it flips faster and drops. Longer distance use the opposite so it turns slower and flys farther.

I live and die with the Champion firebird with my thumber. I have also used a KC Banshee and a KC whippet though.
