Vote only if you were in town for the Rockford A-Tier.

I am trying to get an idea of how much money was spent while in Rockford for the A-Tier.
DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES.

Money spent would include lodging, food, drinks, etc..
Where did you stay?
How much did you spend?
What day did you arrive. Friday or Saturday?

We arrived Friday afternoon. Stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Loves Park Friday and Saturday night. We spent a little over $200 most of it on lodging but there was also gas, ice and assorted sundries. We probably threw down $60 to $80 on gas while we were there. I think all of the Brakels met at Steak and Shake over by Loves Park for dinner on sunday. That was probably another $100.

Arrived Saturday morning. Drove back and forth from Downers Grove. I think I filled up for gas on Saturday afternoon, but I can't remember. If I had to do it over, I'd have stayed in town.

my vote was scewed as I did not consider the cost of gas, which was quite high at the time of tournament. I used the federal mileage reimbursement rate. That is the true cost of driving to the tournament.  Its about 190 miles round trip but with drving around town I figure I was at 225. The current rate for depreciation is .585/mile.  If gas stays low I suspect it will go down.  I stayed  in a very cheap hotel for one night and split it.  I ate pretty cheaply even with a nice dinner and a couple beers on Saturday night. Still, considering the depreciation, I was over $200 even though I was likely out of pocket only about $100....getting a 5 on the 900 foot hole...priceless!

Should I count the $1000 I spent on pizza?

When you're talking to whomever you're talking to, don't forget that we spent over a $1200 on pizza, chips and soft drinks, and all of that was purchased locally.

I put $100-149. I came in Saturday morning and stayed at some place called the Alpine Inn. I would probably stay there again next year since it was $60 for 2 double beds and it was pretty nice and had a continental breakfast. Spent some money on gas and a small amount on food and drinks Saturday night. It was actually a lot cheaper than most disc golf weekends now that I think about it.

Came out Saturday morning
$90 hotel for 1 night on the East side of Rockford - wanted free wireless internet
$15 food at Perkins
about $5 spent at convenience store for drinks on Sunday on West side of Rockford.

I did fill up for gas but I won't count that because I'm always driving everywhere - so $110 spent otherwise.

That's not the point though. Would you have bought gas in Rockford that weekend if there wasn't the IOS A tier there? Brett is trying to get an idea of how much it is worth to the Rockford area economy to have an IOS A tier there.

I had to buy gas because I was low on gas - yes, it was in Rockford, but that's just because my tank just about ran out when I was in Rockford.  So you can add $60 because I spent the money in Rockford, but I didn't fill up just because I was in Rockford (although I did find a place that was something like 20 cents cheaper just by heading a little bit further west).  I could have filled up at home before I went out there but didn't.  I also fill up every 4 days on average, so I'm used to a tank that is always running out :)
