Oh, you naive, young man!  ;D

I voted today. I voted some protest votes and I voted for a few people who will be elected. I consider voting for one of the minority party candidates a protest vote. It's a way to say to the Republicans and Democrats that they are not representing me.

What does this stand for?

In any case, my feelings are pretty well expressed right below my PDGA number. Regardless of your choice, its the one thing that makes us all proud to be Americans. Go vote for the candidate of your choice or at least the candidate you find least offensive. My lines were much longer at Starbucks to get the free coffee than at my polling place where they were actually pretty well organized.

Subject says it all. Also, a free donut at Dunkin Donuts and free ice cream at 31 Flavors if you wear your I voted today sticker. The polling place at the Village Hall in Gurnee had over 200 people in line at 6:15 AM.

My polling place wasn't that busy at 8:15am but it was busier than normal. Busy enough that I thought they should have a special line for people who vote in every election. When I vote in the local only elections I'm usually the only person voting in my precinct while I'm there...unless Becky comes with me!  ;D

I just voted here in Round Lake. Not a bunch of people but they said they were super busy this morning.

I did not vote for Bob Powers. He would not answer any e-mail or phone call about disc golf in the LCFP.  He is backed by every person who voted disc golf down.

I also voted NO to the Lake County Forest Preserve.

The serious topic for me was the con con (Call for an Illinois State Constitutional Convention) It affect me as a teacher so it was #1 on my list.

For the rest I flipped a coin.

I'm also in the batch of people that voted today, yay :)  I didn't receive my voter's registration card yet (just have my green slip from registering again after moving), but they had my name and no problems!

I voted a few days ago.  This was the first time in 20 years I voted for a major party candidate for President.  I paid for my Starbucks this morning.  Forgot all about the free offer.

The line to vote here this morning took about as long as the line to get a passport on the lunch hour.

i voted for the first time and I feel great. Free coffee and crispy cremes after that was awesome...

I really felt like I need to brush up on my local politics though as i had no clue who the F anyone was.
It was quick and painless although there was one lady who would not take off her McCain pin
and they wouldn't let her vote. I didn't know you cant campaign within 50 or a 100 feet from the polls...

She did not back down and it got a little loud.

I hope your candidate today fares better than the candidate I assume you voted for 20 years ago....    ;)  )
