Played here on Sunday..... Got off the plane, got my checked bag, found the rental car, and headed straight to the course.

This is a two course, 36 hole park.

They were finishing up the SoCal AM Championships on the Lakeside course when I arrived, so I was directed to the back 18. Bought a local stamped Star XCaliber and a bottle of water to fill up my Nalgene, grabbed a map, and off I went.

The entire park is covered with large rolling hills, and most of the back 18 is dedicated to disc golf. A couple holes in the 12-16 range are near a baseball diamond and road, so of course the outfield (and accompanying huge fence) and road/sidewalks are OB. Several holes also have manditory routes. I seem to have a knack for playing the larger SoCal courses around the time of a large tournament so the baskets have 10 meter circles painted around them and are mostly clear of trash.
All of the holes in the back 18 have several pin placements, with most holes having 3 positions. One hole, a 700' monster that follows a fence line by some houses, has 5 pin positions.

All in all the back 18 was a decent round. My opinion could have been one less neutral had I seen or played with other people.

The front 18, AKA the Lakeside course, plays near a large playground and around a pond area. There is a more dramatic elevation change on several holes and again, many holes have manditory routes. This side of the park was also much busier than the back 18 due to a couple holes' proximity to the playground and the pond. I ended up playing this round mostly by myself again, although I did get stuck for a few holes behind a sixsome with a stroller, and then later on played thru a foursome of some kids.

All in all my opinion of both courses was neutral. I liked the elevation changes and use of trees as obstacles guarding the baskets. All of the tees were fairly well defined concrete pads, or in cases where a sidewalk was used, there was tape 'corners' defining the tee area. My biggest complaint was none of the baskets on either course were numbered correctly, which made it hard for me even though I had a map to follow. Also, the map didn't show all placements - probably just the typical setup, and routing to the next hole sometimes involved going to the wrong tee before finding where I was supposed to go.

LOL. It was about 65 degrees, chilly by LA standards. Also, it was windy like Bevier so it was like I was almost home..... Almost
