G5

I got my new digital camera. I'm making the leap from a manual focus, manual wind 35mm SLR to the Canon Powershot G5 digital camera. I'm having a "procedure" done to my left big toe on 7/25, so I might not be able to play league on Sunday. I was thinking if I could hobble, I might come out and take pictures. I need to get some practice with the G5 before Womens Championship. Anyway, here is a non-disc golf picture---just thought I'd show something from the new camera. This is a brick-texture shot that I threw on a border in photoshop.

I thought you were getting a new Mac...

if you do get a new mac don't get the new g5 they are extremly over priced and the new version of OS X named Panther (10.3) isn't fully optimized for 64 bit and won't be until around version 10.3.6 or somewhere in that area. So either get a G4 or wait closer until Panther fully suports it. Also by that time the big Macworld expos will have been done the G5 will prolly have seen a boost in performance and cut in price point as this is how Jobs always does things.

Hey Jay, here's a picture of your bug. By the way, the video that I shot today is in AVI format, 320x240, 15fps, 281kbps. It was 1min and 17sec long and about 20mb in size.

yeah, come on out Sunday! I've been throwing lots of bricks lately...



although I did OK in Lombard last night. Had a good partner; "Big Paul', can't remember his last name, about the size of a defensive tackle, ambidextrous, throws 350+ without trying, nice guy; We took a few of my drives incl. a 300 ft roller that worked for a change (on #4), and my putting was relatively together. We shot against Dave Keel (who was amazing as usual, nearly aced #16) and his partner. They were 1st w/ -12 (19 holes) and we were 2nd w/ -10 (1 bogey) so I got more than my money back, besides the entertainment value....
