Eddie didn't have it so good these last few years. I bought the CD that Steve Dahl was selling a while ago to help Eddie out. Hope he's at peace now.

I had an egg roll at lunch today in memory of Eddie. The bottom blew out and I got stains all over my shirt. It seemed fitting some how...

Wow, that's too bad. He put up a good fight for a long time. I have tapes of Steve making prank phone calls into Eddie's show when he was doing overnights on WGN. Hilarious stuff.

It was good to see them patch up their differences. So long Chicago Ed.

Thanks for mentioning Chicago Ed's passing. I would never have heard of him if it hadn't have been for Steve & Garry, then Kevin Matthews' spot-on impression (Vicious!) and performing as Ed Zeppelin.

Eddie should also be remembered for the food drive he hosted downtown.

I used to listen to him on the radio when i was in high school.  He was on WIND, then, 560 or 540 AM, I forget.
