Why the IOS will not be making a stop in Lombard in 2009

A good question to be asked is, why didn't the Local Club bring up the vandalism right away? Why wait so long and make someone's work of trying to get good tournaments be wasted? Seems strange to me. Vandalism should be nipped in the bud right away.

Well, you report FALSE allegations whenever the need arises.

There isn't really a local club. Doubles are run weekly by Matul, but that's about it.

The Lombard Park District has worked hard in the past to accommodate a variety of Disc Golf activities utilizing our Parks.  Despite our attempts to work with these events, we have discovered that renters have not acted in good faith and have collected fees, gambled, conducted cash payouts and shown a general disrespect for our facilities.  Many of these actions are a direct violation of Park District Policy.  Beginning today, the Lombard Park District will no longer rent its facilities for disc golf.  Only activities directly sponsored and administrated by the Park District will be conducted at our disc golf courses. 

Any unauthorized use by organized groups will be asked to leave and can be ticketed.

Our intention is not to rid the park district of disc golf, but rather better regulate the activities held within our parks, so as to be sure all Park District policies and procedures are being followed.  If you should have any further questions, please contact me at 630-953-6102.

Apparently the attempt to get the IOS kicked out of Lombard by the TD trying to get an event there has back fired on every disc golfer in the area that likes to play tournaments there. No tourneys for anyone! Thank you anonymous TD!! You ROCK!!!!!

This is trully a travesty I have seen many things in the 17 plus years that I have been shooting tournamnets. There has always been some healthy ribbing and comptetion between rivals TD's but nothing like this. WTF is wrong with some people I don't know but you wont catch me playing one of these people's events thats for sure. There has almost always been at least a spirt of support among all opf the TD's in the region. Back iun the days of The flying duecemen and even the days of the sin city blasters discs were given to other TD's for CTP's and such have thingsd degraded this badly in the modern era or it is just me |?
