I apologize for the lack of advertising but none the less - here you have it:

This will be the one and only 2009 PDGA Sanctioned SPRING event held at UW-Parkside this year. There is no IOS event this year so we figured it would make sense to host a single, 1 day event which will host all divisions.

The exact layout of the holes and tees have not been finalized due to the weather but as soon as they are we will get it posted.

Pre-Registration is always strongly recommended. To help provide an incentive to pre-register we will start charging a $10 LATE FEE as of Thursday, April 9th. Help the event by pre-registering which secures your spot and avoids the late fees.

8AM to 9AM - Check In
9:15 Player's meeting
Round 1
Lunch Break
Round 2
Awards

First place trophies for each division and possibly more depending on pre-registration counts.

Notes:

- We'll create any division if 3 or more qualify
- ALL non-pro divisions receive player's packages - CUSTOM DISCS (Maybe even Star Bosses?)
- 100% payout to everyone!!!
- 2009 PDGA Membership Renewals available

Special event opportunities to those who register using this website. If you wish to save the $5 IRO fee please send a check the event information to my mailing address found in the 'contact' section of this site.

Online registration available at:  www.iregisteredonline.com - (sorry but you must create a login to see the event fees - that will change with the next website update)

Confirmed event participants can be found here: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=8783

We were hoping on getting the course back in the ground this weekend.. thing is that it is still to wet, holes 8,9 and 12 are super mushy..  Will get back to you guys on when we are going to put it back in..  more then likely on the 9th.
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.

The course is back in.  Don't forget to get a parking pass for the day at the police station for a $1.50...or you will get a $25 ticket.

Thursday the prairie will be set a blaze..might have to take off of work to watch the fire roll across the prairie... since they are burning that means that we are going to have a super tall and thick prairie this summer.

Huh?  New policy for 2009?

Thanks for the updates...

I'm surprised there aren't more people registered yet...
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

I can't comment on the parking stuff.  In fact, I don't think I've been to Parkside since my 2nd to last week of the class I teach there in the fall.  Sergio (and crew) have been awesome in getting me ready for the course and the details that we all need to know.  Thanks guys.

However, speaking of registrations ... I have received nearly 20 - yeah TWENTY in the past 36 hours.  A handful of mail ins and the rest online.  I was nervous about a lack of turnout but if we keep going like this we might have to turn others away.  You can still drop your check in the mail tomorrow and you will be good.  If you live close enough you could probably even do it yet on Thursday - however, you run the risk of an online coming in and bumping you out in the mean time.  I don't care how you get it done - please just get registered!

Exact hole placements and distances should get posted in the next few days.  As Serg said - all holes (except for 14) are currently in the event positions!

Thanks guys,

Ter

Unless things changed the parking pass is only needed for weekdays and last year it was $1.00

Sorry I forgot to mention during the week for the pass, I was in a hurry... it did go up in price though.

Since I made my post just a few hours ago I have taken in another 6 to 8 registrations.  They are POURING in very quickly.  Could we hit 90 people before Thursday even?

Get signed up one way or another!

Parking: Campus has to pay for the new parking lot somehow: parking permit is $2 (according to Paul Kuffel).

Today and tomorrow the prairie is getting burned  :angry4:
Lots of smoke and lots of fire!

Not sure how they are doing things (by location) but be aware if you plan to come play during the day you might not be able to play all the holes. They are usually done by 4:00 for the day.

Haven't been there since the Prairie open. Did the course get changed up in regards to hole 1-4 and the wood holes?

Parking permits are only required during the week, sorr for the confusion.

The course is the same as last year's Prairie Open. Hole #1 is the old #5. If that doesn't make much sense you'll have to wait and see when you get to the course on Saturday.

Save a Boss for me! Won't be there until about 1:30.

Wanted to quickly and publicly thank SHAWN FALLON, PAUL KUFFEL AND DAVE LIGHT for the work they've done recently to the course. Dave was our go-to-guy in finding us a place to store the baskets and then help put them back in the ground.

I spoke with Tom the other day and he has some other obligations so he will not be there this weekend.  He's one of LDS' biggest supporters and great ambassadors to the game so he will be missed on Saturday.  Good for him though - we should all take a weekend off from golf once in a while!

Anyway - we have taken nearly 70 registrations in the last 6 days!  This bad boy is likely going to fill tonight yet or sometime tomorrow.  If you get your registration in tonight before I go to bed you'll miss the $10 late fee.

See you guys on Saturday!

Ter

Carla and I were out on the course this evening. It's looking in pretty good shape. The three main holes were concerned about with sloppiness have firmed up a little more than thought. I think the wind and lack of precipation have helped tremendously.

Fresh burnt prairie makes for a fun mess. If you like your shoes, don't wear a white pair.

Looking forward to a fun event, too bad I can't play. See in at the second round.

Couple of ADV guys, Diabetic and Chris Brenholz smoked it!  Barry won buy a good amount over Hereen.  Bingman dominated Masters and Barret won Women.

Results are up on PDGA.

Well run event (no surprise there- thanks T-Dogg) and some pretty darn good weather.

It was fun playing with Barry 2nd round, that was my first time playin with him.  He is so freakin smooth, it is unreal.  Putting is sick, sick, sick too.  He was real nice too, very friendly and he was rooting pretty hard for everyone on our card.  It was pretty cool.
