Sure, its more appropriate weather for a snow ball fight than a baseball game but today is Opening Day.  I thought we would separate the usual CubssuckSoxsuck chatter for its own thread this year.  That way we can save the other threads to talk about trades we want to see teams that are over and underachieving, fantasy, strategy and second guessing the managers.  You know, the usual baseball stuff.

I received an e-mail with the folllowing today and thought I would pass it on.  Let the trash talking begin - play ball!!!

Billy was in his 5th grade class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living.

All the typical answers came up - fireman, policeman, salesman, etc.

Billy was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father. "My father is an exotic dancer in a happy bar and takes off all his clothes in front of other men.
Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and make love with him for money".

The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some colouring, and took little Billy aside to ask him, "Is that really true about your father?"

"No"' said Billy, 'He plays for the Chicago Cubs, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.'

Spuds, you want to go double or nothing on last year's $10 bet?  I'll even spot the White Sox 4 games this year.

I don't feel the need to trash talk the Sox this year.  You all know what your roster looks like.  I'll even offer some support.  John Danks and Alexei Ramirez are a couple promising young players.  Good luck!
