Tomorrow, November 14, 2009 I will be co-leading a bike ride to Shermer, IL.  Shermer is the fictional home of many of the teenagers in John Hughes movies.  We will ride about 35 miles at an easly pace visiting the Home Alone house, Cameron's house from Ferris Buehler, the high schools from Ferris Buehler, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club amongst a few other sites.  Alas, no disc golfing, but plenty of memories of our favorite John Hughes movies as we tour the North Shore.  A description of the ride can be found at the club website, www.evanstonbikeclub.org.  If you would like to visit some of the sites on your own you can follow the attached cue sheet.  We will leave from the Panera Bread near the Wilmette Train Statiion at 9 am.

How was the ride?

The ride was awesomE. A November ride had the largest turnout of the year. We had over 30 riders.The gorgeous weather helped. We will do it again sometime next year with some new stops. There were a lot of suggestions.
