2009 Discontinuum Bag Tag #??? - Can't Find It!

SERG

NEW DATES:
April 9th & 10th

Pro/Advanced on Saturday
Intermediate/Rec/Juniors on Sunday

More info at www.theprairieopen.com
Registration information to come soon

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
WHICH COURSE WOULD YOU PREFER TO PLAY?
1. New Course (21 Holes)
2. Original Course (20 Holes)

The nice thing about the new course is that in the spring the prairie is no where near as bad as it is during the mid to late summer months. My concern: natural tee pads.

Let me know your thoughts.

'natural' tee pads in the spring are a BIG concern   :P

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Luckily we haven't gotten much snow, so I don't think standing water should be too much of a problem this spring.  I'm expecting summer-like conditions by April.

Using both courses would be great, but if you're looking for just 1 course I think the original is a bit more challenging- as well as having cement tees.

Damon's concern is my main concern.
I haven't had a chance to discuss a reservation on both courses.
I don't want to pay too much for course rental.

Sounds like going with the original course makes the most sense.

I'm hoping to make this one.
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

I haven't played the new course yet, and I'm looking forward to it. But personally, not having a solid teeing area is miserable, especially if it 'counts'. (I need all the help I can get  :D ).

And in case anyone else can't pick up Michler's sarcasm, *I* sure can...  ;D

id say no to the natural teepads if their muddy. if their nice and dried out then id like a round on each course.

what kind of condition is parkside and the other course in?

SERG

Considering we would have to rent both courses it made our choice a little easier:
We will be playing the ORIGINAL COURSE with two extra holes for a total of 20 holes.

The Original course is in its usual shape at this time, muddy with standing water on the usual holes. The East course is probably in better shape than the original but with many people playing the holes each day I don't think the tee pad areas would hold out. We'll do our best to alleviate some of the mud issues but we haven't been able to do too much course work over the last summer and up to now.

I'll post more details as we have them.
UPDATE: There will be food available onsite provided by our food service. We're still working on exactly what they may sell but I'm assuming it will be some type of sandwich or burger or hot dog meal.

Thank you to the Parkside Disc Golf Club for sponsoring the course rental! Big savings for us.

Saturday field is half full with one week left.
Sunday field is plenty open!

Course will be in tournament layout (minus the two alternate holes) hopefully by the end of today (Friday) or at least by Saturday. This year we will play hole 18 the original way, not backwards. One of the alternate holes will be at least 500'...still considering the layout of that hole. If I get a chance tomorrow I will try to layout the alternates.

Amateur player packs will include a $12 voucher to be used at one of the vendors and a waterproof/reusable scorecard from Team Crafty courtesy of Dave Light.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
