Congrats Tom on your Packer victory. I'm sure I'll be reminded every time you use that Packer clipboard for keeping score.
                                                                                                                                   ;D

Thanks Randy.  Like every playoff game this year, one play either way and the other team could have won.

About 4 inexcusable drops by the GB wide receivers that kept that game half-way interesting.  The Packers should throw a roof over Lambeau and put down some turf, because in those conditions Rodgers is 3x as dangerous.  Brady was the unanimous MVP for 2010.  I'd bet on Rodgers to collect his first MVP in 2011.  He's already got as many titles as the guy before him (terrible decision letting that other guy go by the way  ::) )  Pretty sure the Pack will be the favorites to repeat.  A massive amount of injuries disguised the Packers as a 10-6 underdog entering the playoffs.  This became obvious to me the day before the game and I parlayed the Packers -3 and the Over (45), which paid well.  I would have liked to see a Packers/Patriots Super Bowl.  Those were the 2 best teams this season.

I'm glad football is over.  Can't wait for the spring.

I miss not having a game next week. Dan, you weren't the only winner yesterday:

Bookies incurred more losses from Super Bowl XLV than they had in any single Super Bowl since 1993, according to the L.A. Times. And that means the public, and especially your average occasional bettor, came away with big winnings.

The three biggest factors in Vegas's big loss were:

The Packers, three-point favorites, were getting most of the action, and covered.
The score easily exceeded the over/under, which as of game-time was 45.5, and the public almost always bets the over.
At halftime Vegas sets a unique spread for the second half, that typically only garners action from the sharps. They had Pittsburgh, who trailed by 11 at halftime, favored by 2.5 points. Many sharps recognized the value and bet heavy on the Steelers who covered, here.

Did anyone else read that our Bear fan President declined to make the traditional congratulatory call to the winning team immediately after the game?   >:D

was a great game.  tough to come back from 3 turnovers turning into 21 points.

Congrats Packers fans!

Shouldn't you be eating some serious crow now?  ;D

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Good point Jon.  Doug needs to be called out for his ridiculous pre-Super Bowl posting, although he didn't type "suck" in all caps, which must have been tough for him.

QuoteI am soooooo tired of hearing that Rodgers is one of the best QB's in the league.
Well the Steelers sure put a stop to that!

QuoteHe has not seen a defense like he will see tomorrow.
The Bears defense did a hell of alot better both times we played them!

QuoteBesides Green Bay's rookies, it's the same defense!!! and Ben lit them up for 503 yds, matching Rodgers 3 td's, with the game winner.
Yes, your D Bag QB is awesome!

He palyed INDOORS this game, not in below zero weather, I would hope he did better than outside at Soldier field.

And say what you want about Ben Dan, but he is at least mentioned as Elite.  Cutler never will be.  Ben has 2 rings, played in 3 Superbowls in 7 years. What has Cutler done??  Ben will be in the HOF  for sure!!

He took the blame as he should. Although if Mendenhall doesn't fumble on Packers 33, with the momentum they had, if they score a TD there and go up 24-21, who knows what happens. But then again, we all know if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle!

The better team won, I can admit that.

Just funny it's 2 Bears fans worried about what I had posted, and not a Packers fan.  Man they must still be bitter!  ;D

before Dan gets all offensive about the Ben in HOF for sure comment.  This came from Lee Andrew Henderson from Yahoo's Contributor Network....

Out of the 10 quarterbacks with two or more Super Bowl wins, 7 of them have gone on to the Hall of Fame and Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger are well on their way too. These are all the quarterbacks that have won two or more Super Bowls.

John Elway
Bob Griese
Plunkett
Big Ben
Bart Starr
Roger Staubach
Toy Aikman
Tom Brady
Joe Montana
Terry Bradshaw

Jim Plunkett - Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII

Other than Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger, Jim Plunkett is the only two time Super Bowl winner that is not in the Hall of Fame.

By the time Ben is done playing in Pittsburgh he will have probably 20+ playoff wins, and I'm sure he didn't just play in his last Superbowl.  He will probably win at least 1 more.

Above is a great example of how to avoid addressing all the crazy comments you make prior to a game after you are called out on them.  You make a comment that is even completely more insane.

what's insane about confidence?

and again Tom, I have to ask. why is it only you that has to try to come to Dan's defense? Can't your little boy speak for himself?

1. Dan is a big boy and can take care of himself. My responses have nothing to do with him. If you don't want me to respond to your comments please PM Dan. In fact I would prefer that.
A. There is nothing wrong with being confident, but to continuallly read overblown, over capitalized, and over puncutuated  statements gets old.
2. I can usually refrain from responding to your fantasy world about the Steelers.
B. To think that the rapist is going to win 20 playoff games in his career is a pipe dream.

ok then, but let me remind you, he already has 10 wins, and is signed thru 2016 and will probably re-sign for a few after that. he will just be 33 yrs. old

And again, Ben was found not guilty.
The Patriots on the other hand were caught cheating, but you all talk how wonderful of a team they are? makes no sense. someone not guilty is a rapist, but cheaters getting caught, is okay?

Maybe it's something in the Chicagoland water makes you guys so unbelievable?

Tom, I'm chuckling at "overblown, over capitalized, and over puncutuated."  I had to reread some posts to see what you meant about the last two.  I think anymore my brain just filters that stuff out on message boards.  I don't even see it unless I'm looking for it.

But what's up with the over spaced paragraph breaks?   ;D
