Club Meeting July 16th

The next club meeting will be on Tuesday, July 16th at 6:30pm.  We will meet at Quonset Hut Pizza on McAree Rd at Grand Avenue.

-Money distribution

-Zion Park District

Yeah, I'd say low... with a club of 30 members (all of whom have paid for their membership), you'd think we'd be able to get more than four people to show up!



I hope the set days/times for future meetings will help increase turnout & participation from other people. We need more opinions, not just the same group of 4-8 people rehashing the same subjects in different flavors every couple months...  [img="http://www.rafansrule.org/ubb/icons/icon24.gif"]

I am working on copying the discTV shows for several people and hopefully will finish this week.  I hope to have a tape to loan to folks by Tuesday.

And yes, we can talk of Glow League/event!  Perhaps, since we now need to change the final Safari date again, we can make the final Safari a glow event.  Whatever (I'm getting verklempt) . . . . .

Please attend this club meeting. There is a ton of info to talk about. I'm attaching a few topics that we will be discussing. We need your input. I'm stepping in & trying to help Jim a little. He seems to do a majority of the work. We talked after the Safari Series for about 30 minutes. I see DISContinuum stalling a little with attendance & this is why this meeting is important. Changes will be made. This is our club. I envision this club growing to 50+ members, being able to improve Bevier, buying new baskets, hosting huge tournaments, & developing new courses in the area. Am I the only one that has this vision. Saying this, we need all members to be active. Voice your opinion.

Low turnout. Only 4 showed. Jim, Mirth, Paul & I. I thought we got a ton of stuff done tonight. Met from 6:30 till 9:00. Talked about Bevier Blast, Glow Nights, Junior Leagues, Club Discs & Memberships, & much much more!!

Yes, Mirth is right on! The 4 of us made some important decisions tonight on

#1 Spending funds on chain upgrades (ASAP)Getting park district to start maintenance on  baskets during the winter (weld & paint)

#2 Time & Dates for Glow Rounds

Once a month, Friday nights, Starts in August (TBA) Dates & Fees TBA  2 Divisions-]Winner takes all for each division.

#3 Time & Dates for Best Shot Leagues

Will move day & time. New payouts. TBA next league ??? Club pays winner to represent DISContinuum in some tourney???

#4 Bevier Blast-Fees, Format, Payouts

#5 Junior Leagues- Continue into the year????

#6 New Course Development Gurnee/Zion???

#7 Sponsorship

#8 New Membership Dues effective January 1st 2003 $15.00 w/club disc  $10.00 w/out club disc

#9 Tax Exempt Status

#10 Safari Series- Once a month @ a different course each month, will take top 6 scores, more info TBA

#11 Calendar- In January a calendar of events will be made for 2003. They event dates will be set in stone & not moved

#12 Active members- where are they????
