Not really.  Thats pretty normal for a B-tier....
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

Bruce Brakel

You are both right.  High entry fees are pretty normal for a B-tier.

seems odd to me to have this the same weekend as the Jainesville Jammer, which is supposed to be the 11-12th. (although iregestired says its just the 11th)

Opens only 5 over normal but adv is like 10 to 15 over normal.

The real question is: what are you getting for your $45, or whatever the entry fee is.  If you look here and go to their website, all they are promising amateurs is two rounds of 22 holes.  That's a start, but its not enough for me to pack the car.  For what you get, I'd gladly pay twice as much to play the tournament in Milford, MI, that weekend.

Actually Open is the same price as IOS is charging for a Pro C-tier and Int is the same as an IOS, Rec is cheaper then an IOS same for juniors, the only one that costs more is ADV.

The Janesville thing is in Wisconsin, yeah its kinda close but a different state and it says it's on the 11th.

I don't see any where that says Janesville is a sanctioned tourney.  I see that it's being called the Chainsville Challenge now and is on the 11th.  Usually you don't have a sanctioned tourney the same day with in a certain radius.  So I don't see this being a problem.  As for costs I don't know much about that so I'm not going to comment on that.

Wrong, it's $2 less if you prereg, costs me $33 to prereg. which still makes it cheaper for most the divisions than an IOS and a Pro B-tier for same price as a IOS Pro C-tier....

I don't mean to detract from the thread here which should be for promoting the Rockford Open on the fine courses at Anna Page Park, but let's at least get the facts strait.

IOS: MA2 entry fee is $30. If you do it online, there is an additional $3 fee.
Rockford Open: MA2 entry fee is $35. If you do it online there is an additional $4 Fee.
Therefore the Rockford Open (for MA2)  is either $5 or $6 more depending on how you preregister. Only the Rec (no Novice?) and Jr divisions are cheaper at the Rockford Open. All other divisions are more costly.

I agree with Mike about this thread Was suppose to be about promoting a tournament, but seems like someone is always nagging about something. The prices may be a couple dollars more IF you preregister, which most people don't.

but most should pre reg. makes it easier on the TD's! and lets us start on time. if a bunch of day of registrations walk up at last minute, usually means the tourny don't start on time.

I think ALL tournys should be pre reg, or pay more $ the day of!

but yes, what a beautiful Park. that course on the right as you pull in is still a very sweet course. it has changed a little since the late 90's but still an awesome course.

I hope I can make it to this, but a couple of Indiana tournaments look a little better right now. will just have to wait and see.

What should the amateur player expect at this tournament for his entry fee?

I spoke with the boys from Rockford about this tournament and the shananagins that happened last year! I was profusely promised that that would NEVER happen again! If you don't know what i am referring to then don't worry about it HOWEVER for those that do know!!!!! It has been made very clear to me how they will be handling the tournament there this year!!! Dont Press the issue past this statement as far as admission goes...... If you like the course and think u cant beat it and the feild then PLAY who cares if its more or less then the IOS its NOT the IOS!!!!!!
Ill be there!!!!
It should be a great time!!!!
Chains should be well represented!!

check out the new website

Duain im gonna post the info on my site for this tourney!!!

Of course its not an IOS because none of the IOS people are running it. I've been to lots of good non-IOS tournaments.

It's a legitimate question to ask (and one that I get asked often) what the player will get for their entry fee.
