My first ace disc (Champion Starfire) is in semi-retirement.  I lost it during a casual round after hitting the ace but StanK was kind enough to find it and get it back to me.  I'm kinda sorta afraid to lose it again and I have other Starfires to throw.

Since then, I have hit 3 aces with my old, beat Pro Pig.  I want to retire this one before I lose it, but I do not have a suitable replacement right now.  Hopefully one of my other pigs will take over soon.   :snorting:

Discs like to fly.  Retiring a disc seems like odd punishment for having flown well.  I throw my ace discs until I lose them, or until they naturally get replaced by some other disc in the bag.  I refresh the ace ink if it starts to fade.

I don't think I've ever retired an ace disc. It seems silly to retire a disc that obviously works for you. Where is my option for "I don't retire discs"? :)

I only retire putters that don't go in the basket. I think I have about 10 bins of those. Everything else is in the bag, or eventually gets lost.

I retire discs if they are meaningful aces.  I hit two aces with one teebird and decided to retire it.  One was in leagues and the other was just during a round.  They were a month apart and both pretty sweet aces.  But as for the other ace discs I have had I haven't retired any of them.  i think I have lost two ace discs and one of my aces was with a friends disc.  If they are short ones especially i wont retire them.

Out of 16, I kept my 1st, a birthday Ace 2 yrs ago, a BIG BIRD ROC with 2, but it cracked or would still be in the bag, and the one at 2009 Worlds for $270.00.

I had originally planned on retiring my 1st ace disc, but lost it in the lake monster later that round while up in Sheboygan. The only ace disc I have since retired is when I was playing a casul round and hit back to back aces with the same disc out at Jericho Lake.

assasins  >  3

I agree discs want to fly and when they actually do what you want , the
reward shouldnt be retirement  in all cases

to me this was a mully ace  practice, disc stays  in rotation  buddy says retire :  others have opinions as well

i count and track my rounds on the dgreview  , actually got 3 on the hole
as the stingray went past it  30 feet    so the ace is recorded as a note but not counted
