Open Masters- 16 (2013 Homie)
Highest Rated Round(1023) 4-5-2014

If I remember correctly (PDGA site is currently down);
Open-2 rds. on Silver w/ 3 gold holes
Adv.-2 rds. on Blue-longs
Int.-2 rds. on Red
Rec.-2 rds on White-longs

Sorta wish I was playing Blue/Silver instead of 2 on Blue's, but this tourney is to remember Homie, not to please me, so whatever, I'm playing.

Dan Michler

I see the same thing on the redroc website.

I guess that keeps it much simpler for the TD which is a good thing.  Wish advanced was playing Red.

I like the two rounds on the same course and the reasonable entry fees.  Nonetheless, I think I'm staying home this year.  I forget what it is, but there is something on the home schedule.

Mike

I just signed up for Adv. GM.  We will probably be on the same course. Since I will be on the boottom of my division I may be in your group if there is an odd number.  : :P I didn't want to play all white all day.  I like the blue and red courses and would have been happy with either one. Looking forward to it even though I have not thrown much lately.

I signed up on friday through the pdga website. They have not updated the prereg list since late Thursday/early Friday. I think that there may be quite a few people that have not been added to the pre-reg list.

Dan Michler

Tom is right.  I also pre-reg'd and am not shown.  75 and sunny on Sunday.  Expect 250+ players.  I think the increased pre-reg and the simplified format with each division just playing 1 course 2 times should make things go smoother than usual.  Looking forward to it.

thats whats causing me to be hesitant. i have not played any of the Lemon Lake courses (its really sad i know) and would be far more inclined to go if i got to play 2 different courses in one trip. but with the weather looking like it is, im leaning on going anyway and trying to fit a cpl of courses in during the breaks and after the 2nd round.
will divisions play on their own schedules after tee off time? as in will our second round tee times be based off of when the overall last card comes in or when the last card from our course comes in?
also, could someone give me an idea please as to what kind of time does it takes to play a tourny round there?
i appreciate it and thanks in advance

This is an all-day event which is a ton of fun. But it tends also to be pretty chaotic. I would not count on being able to play other courses during your lunch break as each course has a different run length. White is fast. Red is about 30 minutes shorter than Blue IIRC.

Like Mike says, this event is a lot of fun. One thing to be aware of, you have to pay a fee at the gate to enter the park.  This event is on the calendar for a lot of people. Pre-reg has jumped up, no where near the 250 that Dan had mentioned, but I would think that 250 is pretty close to what the turnout is going to be.

Lemon Lake is an example of a pay to play course that is well worth it.  I think there are no great courses but blue, red and silver/gold are extremely good.  White is above average.  You have a lot very good golf on well manicured courses a delightful park.
