The gate fee pays for dedicated maintenance to the disc golf park and is worth every dollar. Go there to celebrate life and disc golf! Go with the flow and don't expect the celebration to end until after the sun goes down!!!

based on your previous post
----

please be aware

these Indiana guys run things their way as they can as they are running the event

you may not agree with the way things are handled

so be warned

this is not an IOS production i

also its 4 bucks a person not car
please
have exact change ready

when you get to the complex

--

so what questions did you answer that i asked in my previous post? i am asking questions to better inform myself of how the tournament will be run. instead you provide an un-needed snide comment. thanks, you're no better than myself.  :P ill be down here playing disc when you get off your horse.
and theres only one p2p ive ever played that was not worth it to me. ill gladly hand them $4 for that complex.

What airspuds is trying to say is that there are certain qualities you will find at an IOS that you will not find at a Red Roc event. Just as their are certain qualities that you'll find at the Homie that you won't find at an IOS. They are two different beasts.

in answer to a question you asked

in the past

each pool has run on its own schedule

but the pool that finished first has had to wait

for the pool that finished last

so that collecting prizes could be an insane nightmare

thank you very much, bruce! was curious for car pool reasons. honestly i hope the awards part takes awhile, gives me more time to try and play whatever holes i can before they start.

This is a must play tournament for any avid disc golfer that lives within 3 hours. It's well worth it. I think it's the best tournament in the Chicagoland Area. The player pack is pretty solid every year. The vibe is awesome. The value is very good for what you get. Player pack, lunch, 2 rounds of golf, good payouts, mini golf, & usually great weather. I'm not sure that i'm a big fan of only getting to play 1 course this year but at least I play one of the better courses. If I was playing White or Blue I might be a little more irritated. I have been to every Homie since 2003. Do what it takes to play. There are already 100 players signed up. Last year there were 237 players. This event is huge! Sign up now!!!!!!!!!!!

Just show up and play smyith.  Its tough to predict how it will be run because it seems to change every year.  Just plan for it to take a long time and be pleasantly surprised if it goes quicker.  The one thing you can count on is the huge field, which is why I play it.

What has been missing from recent posts and the MAIN reason for playing is to remember Matt "Homie" Lovasko.  Even if you never knew or met him, his family and friends just want to see the DG community gather in memory of him.  Matt's mom is just as happy to see first time participants as she is to see us old guys that were at the first Homie's.  So, regardless of the course played or how long it takes, come on out and help put a bigger smile on Homie's mom's face!

Well said Tafe.  Up to 111 players now!!!! See everyone Sunday.

At 250 it might be the second biggest B-tier in the PDGA this year.

It was a beautiful day here too.  Hopefully next year the Homie will work out with my schedule.
