Although I am very excited for this tournament, I am also super bummed that it falls on the same weekend as IOS #5.  I hope you guys have a great turnout at Round Lake and I know Case and I really wish we could be at both.

I would also like to give great thanks to Tim McNinch at FADE Gear for supplying us all with brand new FADE tournament bags and straps, as well as a huge thanks to Mike Walsh for supplying bag tags for the club and shirts and stickers for CTP prizes for our weekly singles events.  We thanked both supporters in our interviews, however it seems the reporter did not want to include that in the article.  Just wanted you two guys to know that we really appreciate your support!

That's pretty sweet. The Fighting Illini Disc Golf Team. I'm going to be rooting for you guys. If you guys putt like Case did at West Park not long ago you should be fine. Good luck guys!

making me feel all nostalgic here, I was part of the Frolfing Illini back in 2002-2006 when it first started up!  we had some great tourneys down at Bowling Green with the WKU team.

Just to keep you all posted, we placed second this weekend only behind home team Purdue.  They already have a qualifying bid from their performance last year, thus, we received the National Championship bid!

Here is a link to the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships homepage that has the official announcement of our qualifying. Note: it will likely only be up until the next teams qualify, so if you are viewing this thread late the page will likely be outdated.

Sr., unfortunately I did not get the putting going as the wind was howling.  It was a really difficult tournament since Purude set up some LONG temp to play to their strengths.  The wind wreaked havoc on those holes.  I even laid up a 12 foot putt on an elevated basket on the edge of a hill with OB at the bottom.

On a side note, I also took 4th in the distance competition throwing a side-arm Ape 442 ft.  the only three to beat me were on Purdue's top team.  Unfortunately tailwinds are no good for Sayer's Epic bomb or else he probably would have been up there too.

Can't wait for April and the trip to South Carolina!
