Do you tip at restarants that offer "half service"?

Usually no.
Usually half a tip.
Full tip.
I never eat at those places because I don't know whether I have to leave a tip,

There is this carry out pasty joint near me with four tables.  You order at the cash register, and if you are eating in, the cashier will bring your order to your table along with ketchup if you ask for it.  If you want a beverage, you grab it out of the refrigerator and they charge you for it.  The owner-cashier is a nice guy.  The cook is a little surly.

Tip or no tip?

How about at the half service place where you eat sometimes?

Not a full tip or half tip... Usually at those places if the service is good (as little service as there is, sometimes they do it right) and the people are friendly I'll leave a dollar or two behind.

well do you ever eat at Culvers?  They bring you your food after you order up front and ask if you need anything else.  I don't leave a tip.  If they don't come out to check on you for any additional things other than bringing out your food then I say no tip.
