How was the turnout Sr?
Very poor showing. Around 30 I think. Road conditions may have been a factor but I know at least 4 who came from Chicago. Everyone was very generous and we feel we may be close to $3000. Take that times 6 and it equals $18,000 of food for the food pantry. Thanks again for the ones who played in those conditions for such a great cause.

Sr....I think you guys need to revise the format. People hate mulligans! I know quite a few people that didn't attend because of mulligans. It also slows the game down and in deep snow it could really slow it down as people look for all their discs the threw. I know you guys think you make money buy selling them but it keeps people away and in the end you make a lot less due to attendance. Raise the level of play and people will come.

I think you might be missing the point of the Ice Bowl(s) if you're looking at it as a competitive event.  ;)

As always the Fox Lake people put on a great event. It was a fun time (which to me is the point), even though I didn't feel like slogging through a 2nd round... (gave me a chance to get some extra chili though.)
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

I see your point Jason but most of the players who come truly understand what the day is for. Damon is so right! It's a charity event. It's for fun and to help the less fortunate. There's much more to it than winning a payout or trophy. It's always a special day for me.

Maybe a no mulligans division would attract people that want to compete and donate at the same time? It doesn't affect my decision to attend either way (I was unable to attend this year), but that could help accomplish both sides potentially. If the goal is to raise as much money as possible, that could help towards that goal.

Good idea Taylor. I wonder if you can have a nonsanctioned and a sanctioned tournament at the same time keeping separate scores. Brings some thoughts. We may have to move the location so anything is up in the air for next year.
