Illini Disc Golf -- 2012 National Collegiates

The Illini disc golf team: Daniel Krisik, Sayer Jackson, Case Jackson, and I, with the possibility of other additions will be making our way to North Augusta, South Carolina in April to represent the University of Illinois in the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championship for the first time. We will be raising funds for the trip by selling T-shirts with a logo that I will post soon, special thanks goes out to Skeet Scienski for creating it. We may also decide to put this logo on discs for fundraising as well. Let me know who will be interested in T-shirts. We still have yet to decide what kind of shirt that this logo will go on, polo, dri-fit, etc. So price will be determined once that is figured out.

Look for updates here as well, as we will be making our way to the Gateway Collegiate Classic in St. Louis early March and the Mid-South Collegiate Championship in Jonesboro, Arkansas in late March.

Attached are what the shirts will look like! We are looking to do either 50/50 or 100% polyester shirts. The royal blue will include the sleeve logo as well. Shirts will sell for $20. Just let us know the size you would like if you have not already, as well as the color you would prefer.

The Illini disc golf team will be making their way to the Gateway Collegiate Classic in St. Louis to participate in another National Qualifier this weekend. While we are already qualified for the National Collegiate tournament, we feel this will be a great opportunity for us to gain experience playing in this format and increase our national ranking as well. Since rankings give preference to teams who play two or more tournaments, this will be our biggest jump in rankings after we finish the GCC because of the fact we only have one tournament under our belt currently. 22 teams have registered for this tournament which include Purdue, Arkansas, both Southern Illinois campuses, Kansas, Alabama, and many more.

T-Shirts are in! There is one change that is different from what is shown in photos. The logo on the front is reduced in size and is located on the left side of the shirt. Everything else remains the same, the sleeve logo on both shirts and logo on back. There are a couple of ways to send in payment to receive your shirt:

---Facebook now allows you to send payment for the shirts for those of you that have an account online. On our Illini Disc Golf Facebook page there is a tab on the left side that says "shop now" from there you can choose what color and size you would like and also proceed through the checkout process.

INI...A huge turnout for this qualifier. First day was two rounds of singles, worst score out of the team (4 man) was dropped. Tomorrow will be alternate shot doubles. We had solids rounds at Jefferson Barracks and Endicott Park is next. As a result we are in good position and can't wait for tomorrow!
