Red tees are fun for doing a putter only round concurrent with the regular round. They don't get played much simply because one needs to walk past the white tee to get to the red so you might as well throw.

The course has progressed a fair amount since the photos on DGCR were taken. We still have a ways to go but it's not quite so 'heart of darkness' jungly.
