QuoteI finally got a hold of Linda at PADS and will be dropping off our donations tomorrow. And yes, I will get a receipt.   ^_^

Also, I have now left two messages for Tom Delaney, head photographer at the News-Sun.  I wonder, will we have to pay for those photographs?
We need a receipt sent to Rick if we want to be eligible for prizes. But since we neither raised the most or had the most participants or had the most snow, I doubt we would be in the running for anything anyway.

I just spoke with Tom Delaney at the News Sun. He said that the story might not run soon, if at all, because local high school sports are dominating the sports pages. Then there's March Madness. So, a fringe sport like ours looses out.
I asked if we could get copies of photos. He said yes, but only if they run in the paper. And then we would have to pay $10 per image.

I told him to have a nice day.......

Tom just sent me a fax.
It is for ordering photo reprints.
They are not $10 each.
They are $25 each.

I'll call my sugar daddy and get right on that......

Here's a sample of some WildIceBowlLeagueDoublesThang pics....

BIG photo-editorial in the Thursday March 11, 2004 edition of the Waukegan News-Sun!!!  Page C4 in Sports.
HUGE pic of Nasty Nate putting.
Sweet pic of a green SkillShot with a certain red Proto Wizard and another disc which is clearly Diron's yellow and red Dr. Dyed Wildcat (or is it a Talon).
FUN pic of a group trudging through snow  - Mirth's sled is shown.

DISC GOLF: Charity Tournament at Twin Lakes Park in Wildwood

It's always Golf Season
Well, OK, maybe the weather this week isn't ideal for teeing up on your local 18-hole course. But, apparently, the sport of disc golf is always in season. a new disc golf course is being designed at Twin lakes park in Wildwood and, as these "golfers" are showing, you can pretty much play a round in any type of weather. The event was held as a fund-raiser for PADS, which provides shelter for homeless in this area.

Caption: Jay Nierodzik (holy cow they spelled it right) of Island Lake and Diron Buzlio (ugggg) of Libertyville throw their discs toward the seventh 'hole".

Yippee!
