I think this has a good chance to fill up.

It's not 100% quite yet. I have to double check with the park but there should be no problem.
Sounds sweet Brett, can't wait to play.
This looks like fun! Will it be possible to preregister for this event?

Yes, I will post teams registered on this thread. It will be a good time. There are tons of doubles around here. There isn't much going on that weekend either.

The small set aside for a practice basket is a nice idea. It is taking less out of the event than sanctioning it would and it applies that money locally. I hope the event fills.
Sounds like fun. I can't wait to play.

maaaaybe, if somebody can switch from world of warcraft mode into world of discraft.
It would be fantastic to see 40 teams preregistered. That would give me an opportunity to get the payouts ready & post them prior to the 1st round starting. I could also get the envelopes with $ ready. If you are going to play please try to preregister.

anybody else yet?
Me and Nick are going to take this tournie down with two -10.
Hey Bryan lets not forget Ice Bowl when you and Nick were paired up. How about try to finish this one without each throwing one disc the whole round becuase you guys were pissed.
It was a good disc. Didnt know u have to use more then one disc. Is this a new rule.
No problem, just thought you might be straining your back carring a bag full when you only used one.
No its fine it keeps my back nice and strong. Thats the only reason i carry a bag full. If everyone must know that bag is for intimidation.
I'm not sure about intimidated, but I think alot of us are frightened by Bryan's albino-like, blinding complexion.
Will Kenny G & super Fyock be playing?
Michler how did the janesville tournie go for you.
that is just mean spirited Bryan.
You can sure dish it out but having a tough time taking it little buddy.
i didn't realize your whiteness was such a sensitive subject :'(
It is...................the doctor might not let me go in the sun anymore.
Currently 10 of the 40 teams are filled. If you are going to play i'd suggest preregistering.
Attached is a scorecard for Fairfield Dubs.
I went out this morning & marked out the extra holes.
14A is played between 14 & 15. The tee is near the creek just past the big tree. There are flags marking the tee area and the basket is straight south. You can throw over the tree or thru the gap. It's 200ft.
#18 is 370ft & will be placed in the center of the fairway. You will tee from the regular tee to a temp basket. There is a rock by a tree in the woods with a flag. The basket will be placed in line with the flag & stones.
#18A is 300ft. You will tee from #18's fairway in the grass & play to #18's basket. There is a big limb laying in the rough on 18 marking this spot. This hole plays more like 330-340 since you are shooting uphill.
there u go Neal, 18 went from 1 lefty hole to 2 lefty holes! :D
Perfect
I wouldn't mind playing, but I haven't got a partner yet. Let me know if anyone can pair up in Am. I also have a Mach V if you need one.
14 Teams signed up so far. Check 1st post.
Tom McManus donated a sweet Star Sidewinder with the Gentlemen's Cup Stamp with 2 hot chicks on it. It's signed by Schultz & Feldberg & will be a CTP. Thanks Tom!
Dan Michler donated a sweet 180 Gateway Element E EL with the Budweiser Select 2006 Bowling Green Stampm on it. Very sweet! This will also be a CTP. Thanks Dan!
Cool trophy discs are arriving by US mail Wednesday or Thursday:
SWEET! Thanks Bruce~

Thank you. Thank you. I did not want to promise them in advance because I've been so busy lately. Fortunately next week is a light week.

Mike, I will save your spot for the tourney. I don't want to risk the check not getting here.
Thanks
Brett
Fred Leatherman & Al Friello are looking for partners. I wonder if they would like to pair up?
How many teams are there? Any room for another? David Leeds and I would like to play.

Yes, There is room & i'll add you to the list. Check the 1st post of this thread. I've been adding teams daily. I'm assuming you guys are playing Pro as all the 950 advanced players are doing the same.
That will be a possible NO, because the guy I will be playing with wants to play AM. I don't care which one I play in as long as I play. Puts me in bit of a pickle. He is only a 925 player, but I may be able to convince him.
Brett,
Can you add Chad and I to that list?
Thanks,
Mike

This tourny might give chris a chance to catch up on the Ace fund and 12/18 fund.
I was just wondering how many spots were open still because I was planning on coming back from school to play. Dulek is going to be my partner and we were wondering if we really needed to preregister or if showing up saturday would be fine.
Thanks,
Brian Lahey

There are currently 23 of 40 spots filled. 11 of those are actual paid teams but the others have locked in their spots by either e-mailing or posting on this board. I have no problem doing that.
Brian, is Dulek's first name Biran too?
For those of you who have contacted me. Please check in by 9AM.
yeah i'm pretty positive its brian dulek
high 68, only 20% chance of showers for saturday. hell yeah little bizzos!!!!!!!
Mid 60's tomorrow with winds under 10 all day. Looks like a great day! I have 12 spots open. Come on out!
Everyone have fun, I'll be thinking about you while I am at work. :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4:
Wow, what a great day to play some disc golf today! 35 teams is huge.
Brett did an awesome job running the event which went very smoothly and everybody had alot of fun it seemed.
Tourney was a ton of fun and having brett as your partner makes things pretty easy! :D Thanks to Tom McManus for donating that autographed GCC wraith, it will look sweet on my wall ;D
Adrian Jr./Sr. played really awesome today. congratulations guys. that was impressive. I played with Neal the 2nd round and saw him make alot of impressive shots as well. nice going guys.
Just finished the resluts. They are attached.
Just wanted to say thanks to all those who played, all those who donated items, & helped make this event run smootly.
Thanks again!
Tom McManus-Donation of Star Sidewinder signed by Schultz/Feldberg
Mike Clark-2005 USDGC Roc
Dan Michler-2006 Bowling Green Element
Chris Jordan, Mike Clark, Dan Michler, & Tom McManus for setting up & tearing down temp baskets.
Adrian Gutierrez Sr., Tom McManus, Dan Michler, Mike Clark, & Jon Brakel for helping at registration, filling & checking out score cards, running the ace pool, and helping get payouts ready. Sorry if I missed someone.
What a great day for disc golf!
We raised $175.00 for a practice basket today!!!
I would like to get some feedback on the course. What did everyone think of the temp holes? We might possibly use them for IOS #7 this year.
Should I run a fall glow doubles event exactly like this one?
Thanks to everyone who put this together, it was a really good event. I liked the temp holes, but I think I would have liked 18 more if it were a little longer, and closer to the trees. 14A was a great hole.
I am so sunburned.

Notes for Fairfield Dubs:
Brett did a great job. Everything ran very smooth. I didn't hear of any complaints at all. The only minor problem was that there was a ton of chuckers on the course when the second round started. And it wasn't that big of a problem.
I really liked the 14a basket. Great pin placement. Splitting 18 in two was also nice in order to accommodate more participants into the tournament. Throwing rhbh it would have been nice to see the basket closer to the tree line, but it would have made the hole easier for lefties. So in my opinion the placement was ideal.
On a personal note, it always fun playing with the Adrian's. Adrian Sr. is the only guy I know that puts with a driver, and the way he putted yesterday has me thinking about making a change... During the second round I had a chance to play with Brian Custer and Tee-rrell. Ryan throws an unbelievable tomahawk. He almost aced 11 with that throw. It goes without saying that Mike Clark is a great partner. His daughter Amber caddied for him and she really did a great job.
Again great job by Brett, it would have been nice to see the Discontinuum name attached to this tourney.
What did everyone think of the $45.00-Am & $65.00-Pro entry fees. Low, just right, or too high. I'd like to know so I can make adjustments for glow doubles in the fall.
Just wanted to tip my hat to Neal, Robbie, Luke, KVN, Dan, Luke, Brian, Bill, & Nate for stepping up to the pro division. It evened the playing field out in both divisions.
Pictures are up in the Gallery. http://discontinuum.org/gallery/2006EventsandLeagues
Did people like the trophy discs? I didn't see them in person but the pix looked cool.
Pictures look great Jon. I think the trophy looks sweet hanging on my wall .
Thanks Jon the pictures look great.
Great action shots Jon. Not the usual pictures of a foursome smiling holding plastic--golf outing shots.
Thanks David. I have lots of practice!
Brett you and Dan shot great, I slipped early on a couple of holes and you guys did not give us a chance to work back. One last thing, in your previous post you forgot to mention Todd stepping up.
pictures were pretty cool. See your form Todd? thats why they don't go in :D
that one did go in, it was like 5 feet, and the form is pretty much perfect if u ask me :-X
There you go Todd, dont take $#!* from Dan
