I thought it was common at all disc golf courses to sign the basket or tee sign after an Ace. Maybe it's just common in the Midwest.
I've signed a tee sign & basket after all 9 of my aces. I thought it was standard for disc golfer to do. Playing at Bevier & Fairfield a lot, that is where I saw it. I probably won't sign next time, that's if there is a next time :D .

I like Parksides idea of cut off 2x6 pieces for signing aces..
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.

Indeed, I saw the post this morning and added what Parkside does.

After reading the EXTENSIVE postings on this subject, I have had a change of heart.  I used to think that it was cool, even appropriate, to sign teeposts or numberplates.
Now, I think differently.  After seeing teeposts (#6 and #8 in particular) starting to get filled up with names, I must say it does look bad. It really isn't different from graffiti. And yes, I am guilty of this as well. The WPD has asked me in the past to pass on their request that players stop signing names. With the beginning of a new season, this is a good time to take on this issue.
As Club Representative to the Waukegan Park District, I would like to officially ask all players to NOT TO SIGN OR MARK TEEPOSTS OR BASKETS FOR ACES OR ANY OTHER REASON.
I will post this at the park and on the website soon.

I aced #13 at Cass-Benton today with a Z-Buzzz.  240 feet with the last 100 through a wide tunnel of trees.  The disc floated into the basket so gently that it was not even a bad throw.  I did not write on the basket, sign or disc.  I don't even know which disc it was.

I have this thing where if I write an ace on a disc I lose it in the river before the month is over.  So I did not mark the disc or notice which Buzzz it wazzz.  Three holes later I left my Challenger near a basket while my partner was making the drop-in and forgot to ask if he picked up my disc.  Oh, well.
