Hello,

I'll be in Schaumburg, IL for 2 weeks.  Not familiar with area. Can someone recommend a course in the Schaumburg area.  The closest I can find is Fairfield Park.
Any others?

I live in Madison WI but grew up in Chicago, I think the closest courses to Schaumburg are Elk Grove and the new one in Palatine.

Buffalo Grove is about 15 minutes away Elk grove less than 10 and palatine is less 10 if you are staying around the woodfield area.

What kind of course are you looking for?

Descriptions of all these courses are on the message board.

If you are looking for a place to play that is close Elk Grove is right there.

If you are looking for 9-holers that are in nice public parks Elk Grove, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, and Lombard are all within 15 minutes. Palatine is brand new.

If you are looking for an 18 hole course that is in a nice public park and has little rough, Lombard is the choice. It has quite a few trees but not rough. It's about 15-20 minutes. There is also a 9 hole course in Lombard about 2 miles from Madison Meadows as well.

If you are looking for an 18 hole course that is challenging and has some rough and water hazards, Streamwood is about 10 minutes away. It would be the most difficult of all the above.
