I just called the Park District for directions...heading WEST on Deerfield Rd from Waukegan Rd, turn LEFT on Pine Street, then LEFT again on Hackberry Rd, which should take you directly to the first tee area.  Hope this is right!!

YAY MORE COURSES!!

Mitch

Deerfield is my home town. The guy who is responsible for getting it in is my neighbor. It is a small 9 hole course, but well layed out in a mostly open park.

If anyone would like to play there, I would like to join in. Please contact me.

Also, yesterday I received my brand new Mach III from DGA. Maybe now my putting wil be more respectable.

Thanks Mitch!  Isn't Mike Glass the guy who put the StrokeSaver baskets in Highland Park a few years ago?  Either way, great story.
Woo-hoo!

Does anyone know for sure whether or not the Keller Park course in Deerfield still exists?  I scoped it out last year and couldn't find it, but I never got out of my car - I drove past where the first tee should be and all around the encircling streets but never saw a basket or a tee.  I work about 3 blocks away and would definitely play it over lunch, if it was still there.

Thanks!

I headed over to this course yesterday after work and discovered they are putting in cement tees! As of right now only holes 1-4 are finished but the rest of the tees are all laid out and ready for cement to be poured.

Like the PDGA website says, this is a good practice course with mostly open holes and a few bombs. You can lose your discs in backyards and water treatment plants which is a major drawback. But with the cement tees, it maybe useful for some long range practice. I think hole 1 is around 430 feet with tons of open fairway.

holes 3 and 9 unplayable due to construction of water reclamation plant. Spongy in spots.
