WOW!

Went down to Valparasio with Nate and Alex today to play this "Championship Caliber" course.

While we were approaching the course, it didn't look like anything Champion was even in the area. And all of a sudden this HUGE lake jumps out of nowhere, and this monster course appears right before our eyes (pure magic)

Anyways, this is one of the coolest courses I've played.

Very long holes with tough angles
Long holes with tree-filled fairways
Short holes with tight woods

Hole 12 is about 550 down a Taboggin hill and hard right (sweet hole), followed by a tight gap off the tee into a 400ft hole, followed by a 420ft uphill monster.

I loved this course and wish I had the resources to visit it more often. Anyone in the area should definetly check this course out. absolutley amazing.

airspuds

Yeah bro

First in AM by 3 strokes. I sooooo wish that was my home course.

Payout wasn't that great, but I had a great time so I don't care

Congrats Diron!!

How bad was the payout, and how was the turnout? I'd heard that a lot of players were planning on boycotting that tourney because of last year's payout... <_<
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Payouts were horrible.

Alex Bingman took 2nd place in the open division and walked away with $75.00, while he paid $50.00 for entry.

I paid $30.00 and walked away with two discs (z wasp with tourney stamp, and dx eagle with '04 ice bowl stamp), two minis, an innova t-shirt (best prize in my opinion) and a HUGE trophy which is cool.

The TDs wife (I believe) Told me first place gets $81.00 worth of prizes. (I had asked her after the first round)

Oh well, I'm happy with the shirt and the trophy, as well as first. My 4th tournament.

Gone from DNF, to 10th, to 4th, to 1st. Hopefully the trend will continue.

May have been better off placing second... guy walked away with like 6 discs and a small wood trophy.

Definetly felt like bitching but I figure it isn't worth it. I played well, and had a good time so whatever

I would like to ask all of our tournament going members (and others that read this board), to ask the TD what the AM payout is. The TD is required to post both the Pro AND the Am payout for all PDGA events. This must be posted by the end of the first round. This is part of the PDGA sanctioning agreement and it is your right as a PDGA tournament player to see it posted.

I was not aware of that rule Jon, thanks for filling me and I'm sure others in.

I was telling Brett what I got was definetly not $81.00 worth of anything.

Maybe $60.00 at the very very most (including the trophy)
