I was browsing the PDGA website tonight and they listed a new course in Mundelein. It sounds pretty interesting. Anyone played it yet? I'm thinking about trying it out.

There was some trouble with the tight course. I heard there was going to be reconfiguration. Haven't had an update in a while. Let us know what you think.

Quit work, play disc golf :)

Go play.

It's pretty boring but there are alot of aces sitting out there..

Hole 1 and 9 are the most challenging by far. Good course for mid-range practice or for beginners, wonder how much use it's getting now that it's summer..

I haven't been there in over a month

Leo Leathers Park (Mundelein Park District).. If not feeling challenged,  Try Alternate Tee areas and/or Baskets... The benefit as I see it now is it is fairly wide open so do with it what you can. Practice. ...

Examples of Alternates
Play #9 From # 3 Tee Area
Play #8 to #2 Basket. Or #3 Basket
Play #7 tee to #5 Basket
Play #6 tee to #1 Basket

And if totally bored practice long game over Pond East of #8 Tee Box approx 75 Yards. The forest opens up and if you are with somebody else practice throwing back and forth across water. There is a lot of room back there. Follow path. Mega-Yanks with Ultimate Risk. I figure (400-430 ft) discs take off and clear water no problem. Sometimes.

Also Check out Vernon Hills if with Players: Practice flight-lines and strategy. Suggestions for 18 at Vernon Hills String. Plus you can grab a Burrito or a Great Sandwich at Rammy's Sub Contractors.

It's not an attempt to be different when everyone else is becoming more alike; it's a way of copping out. And that's the worst thing you can do."

I was at this course yesterday...played here many times.  Most holes are far too simply, but as stated above 1 and 9 are definitely good holes and 2 can be a pain if you don't keep your drive low.  One of these days I'll get lucky and 2 #9...I 3 it nearly everytime with a drive right up to the road (haven't fully got over it yet) a mediocre 2nd shot and usually a 10-20 ft putt for par.  It's fairly simple, but a fun course to play and a round barely takes 20-25 minutes.  Traffic can be awful sometimes though, and high school punks swearing and drinking lately has been annoying.
