You could play BG.

I like Glencoe. It's a short 9-hole course but in a nice neighborhood & very peaceful.

Buffalo Grove is  a short little course I'm partial to

I have played Glencoe a lot recently and its more interesting (trees) than BG.  However, BG has more length. If you are a good player you have a chance to deuce every hole at Glencoe.  I think there is a course in Paletine that might be not too far.  I have never played there.  ALso, Fink in Highland Park is in the area.  They used to have these goofy targets with no chains.  I played there this summer and was surprised to see real baskets w/ chains and a newer, nicer layout.

I suggest never EVER going to palatine, its the worst course ever.  Even though its the closest to me, like 5 miles, Ive only been to it like twice and will most likely never go to it again

Which are two of it's best assets. When you are a better player, crooked, you will appreciate Palatine more.

The jury needs more facts and less invective.  Jon says it has elevation and wind, which are elements of a challenging course.  Are you saying it has man-eating venus fly traps and leaking cans of toxic waste?  I keep not having time to get to this course and need to know whether I'm missing something.

I've only played Palatine once, last spring I think. It's not a bad course, as I recall. Worth a special trip? Maybe not, but if you're in the area it's definitely worth playing. I believe there's lots of extra space available in that park for an actual 18-hole course.

palatine is a pretty easy course..  if there happens to not be any wind that day....  which never happens.  The wind is the only thing that makes the course interesting, but do I ever hate putting into the wind.

I played Palatine today. 5+ Not bad for me, I guess. The wind wasn't too strong. Sometimes I didn't aim right (player error). If it wasn't for the wind, I think the course would be boring. I enjoyed myself and look to play again with an improve score (and form   )

Putting when its windy is an essential skill, though...
Everything's a learning opportunity, remember that.

That's another plus to playing Palatine-work on the wind skills.

Played again this am after dropping Maddisen off at school....very light wind-didn't change my game. I did pretty well today- +4 for 9 holes

Off to pack I'm leaving tomorrow for Peoria

I disagree I say we contact Palatine park district and save them the trouble and buy the baskets from them and put them into real use

dude.  palatine is not that bad.  compared to buffalo grove and wildwood it is a disc golf paradise.  it has wind most of the time, and some tricky elevation change.  plus, there is some reasonable length to challenge most players.  the last hole is around 400 ft.
