we should change this to a category not named Nomar.  nomar can bite me.  we don't need him to win it all.  i think clement won't be starting in the playoffs after today's debacle.  we still look good though.  we're peaking at the perfect time.  prior rolled today. pencil in the cubs vs. braves for the Wild card round in the playoffs which will be cool since they will also be the last team we play during the regular season.

For a Sox fan you sure show an awful lot of interest in the Cubs orginization.. You even goto their games? I think someone has some deep-seeded love they're not ready to let the world see..

Cubs are still NL Wildcard leaders, so they didnt "need" thoes 2 games, it would've helped but it wasn't like their entire season depended on them.

i read the tribune (sun times is a rag)

it does bother me that in the past the cubs have been the lovable losers and
still sell out   tribune corp. has leaned all over the fans for years
cubs fans show up when the team is crap  sox fans (all 7 of us) expect alot out of the francise   put a good product on the field the fans will show up

what about the ticket broker ordeal from last year?   hey fans bend over  no tix available but down the street u can pay double  oh by the way we own the ticket broker

living in the past here  -   the strike year (which sox owners supported)  the sox had a great team   were in first place  That was Our year  we are still pissed

going to old comiskey consisted of catching a bus down western from 95 th
and transferring at 35 th   in my day it was .35 cents round trip

so both ball parks were accessable to me

No doubt Latroy threw away two games in the past few days.  However, he didn't leave men on base.  He didn't fail to advance runners.  He didn't play American League ball (wait for the three run homer) in a National League race.  I think the gag reflex is working on the north side.  Even though I am a Sox fan, I like the Cubs' starting pitchers.  I guess I better get a good look at them over the next few days because it is looking more and more like I will not see them until ... next year.
